We wanted an outdoor ping pong table and this one has been perfect! We live right on the gulf so wasn’t sure how it would hold up in the salty air, but so far no issues! It is kept under a roof (so it doesn’t get rained on) but is exposed to all of the elements otherwise. No warping or damage so far! It looks great. I wasn’t sure about the color when I ordered it, but I really like the blue! It matches perfectly It’s very easy to put together as well. I am quite happy with my Joola Table. I purchased it to go in my unfinished attic and it has been great! It has a solid and sturdy feel to it with good build quality. The ping pong balls bounce nicely with the classic ping pong sound. The table moves easily when needed and has locking castor wheels. The net is held on by a clamp on each side of the table and I have had no issues keeping it tight. However, the net clamps are the only elements holding the two halves of the table together. There are no other parts securing them. Each half of the table folds independently for storage, which I prefer actually, but I would have liked a latch of some kind to keep the two halves in place. Having said that I have not had a single issue with the table splitting apart. I doubted the net clamps at first, but they seem to hold the table together just fine. Setup was rather simple outside of one step that the instructions warned me about. I comes mostly setup outside of the castor legs and net. The castor legs are installed with the table top upside down. When flipping the table over you must not put the weight on the outside legs or else they bend. You have to lock the castor wheels then flip the table toward that side because the legs are much stronger. The setup was so intuitive that I began to flip the table without reading the instructions. Fortunately I noticed the weak point before damage was done. The legs are plenty strong to hold the table up, but they are designed to fold for storage so there are structural weak points. Make sure you flip the table toward the side with the castors and you will have zero problems. All in all it took about 30 minutes for me to setup. Keep in mind that the delivery box is very large and heavy. I highly suggest you have the delivery people place it where you want it to be setup. All in all I am very satisfied with the quality and price. Great job Joola!

If you're looking for an outdoor table that is easy to store, quick to put together/put away and plays like an indoor one, this is it. Couldn't be happier with this table! I've always felt Joola is top quality on their indoor tables, but didn't have much exposure to outdoor ones. The few I've played on either sound "tinny" when the balls hit and even seem to bounce differently. This table plays like their indoor models and is durable outside (however - I would still recommend buying a cover to protect your investment - it's just the wise thing to do). A few notes that might help you decide: The initial assembly - very easy! And honestly, I'm usually not very good at these steps. You just have to screw in a few things to the table pieces and you're set to go. Storage and design - the table is actually two separate pieces that fold down and connect with a very sturdy net that uses a clamp to make them even. If you have limited space in your garage, or say a narrow walkway that you have to wheel your table along to get into your back yard, the two separate pieces are light and easy to push and when stored, they create a very narrow profile to take up very little space. Or maybe you want to play on the grass? Pretty easy to push these onto your yard and connect them! I store mine outdoors under an eave and keep a cover on. It's rained a few times since my purchase, but nothing has rusted or warped. Price - outdoor tables tend to be more expensive than indoor ones, but don't go for an indoor one if you plan on storing it outside at all - even with a cover. The last thing you want is a warped table. The quality of this table is worth the price. Durable for play - I've been teaching my kids on this table and they're getting better every time. Sure, their paddles hit the table here and there - but so far, no dings or scratches! (let's hope it stays that way) Enjoy.

After purchasing the table on Amazon it requests that you pick a delivery time and day. Since we were purchasing this as a gift we decided to delay it a week and have it delivered on a Thursday at 3pm - 6pm window (when I am off work). The week of, that Monday, they call to say it will be delivered tomorrow, Tuesday, at the 12pm - 3pm window. Obviously this was not doable for me but when I asked why couldn't I just have my original, scheduled, delivery date the person on the phone said it was no longer available. Reluctantly I decided to just deal with it and work a later time, won't work for everyone obviously but I am lucky to be able to do that. The day of the delivery they show up at 11:31am, pretty much half an hour before the window. I was just getting out of the shower, so once again I was a bit disappointed. Luckily the delivery drivers were very efficient, kind, and seemed like nice people, so I let the whole delivery fiasco go. The packaging for the table looked dreadful ( deep tears and scratches everywhere, dirt along three sides, dents in the corners) so I was ready to be disappointed again, but when I opened up the box I was delighted to see that they use very hard cardboard with delicate wrapping to protect the table. Kudos on that! Putting together the table took all of maybe 5 minutes (just attached the feet), but here lies the reason I gave this a four star rating. The feet that you attach out of the package are held on with a terribly flawed design. At first I thought maybe they sent me a flawed post, or maybe I misread the instructions, but upon further review of the small pamphlet of a manual you are given I noticed that in fact the table was designed this way. Let me explain, the main support - the legs you are attaching and which will hold the weight of not only the table, but the inevitable people that will fall on it, or move it in awkward horizontal directions with some force- are connected via their ends and two pieces of plate metal. Instead of these hollow posts sliding into each other and having a bolt secure them (which is the basic way any sectional metal object these days are secured, or so it seems) this one has the butt ends stacked and only two pieces of metal on the outside holding them together in what I can only describe as a nimble way. My only other annoyance was that they sent me the wrong net. I ordered the "Rally Outdoor" version, which has some small green textures along the side, and green net posts (or at least that is what is pictured when you select it), but they sent me the one that is pictured in the "Nova DX Outdoor" version - Blue posts. This isn't that big of a deal, as it doesn't clash much, if any, with the table itself, but I feel this is a strange thing to screw up. The perfectionist in me is angry for the fact I would much prefer the green ones. Also, it's about the principle of the matter... I feel, personally, that for the asking price of $500 they could at least do some quality control and a quick rethink of their feet design. I don't feel that the cost is worth it ($350 - $400 is my preferred cost, for many reasons not listed) so I feel that I can't say I would recommend this table. I would be interested to know why the cost is so much. Materials? Production? Shipping? I am willing to rethink my position on this, but until I know more I will stand by it. So why four stars? The key here is that I got what I expected, in that it's an outdoor ping pong table that got me and my friends many hours of fun. It's beyond easy to assemble and dissemble, seconds to do. Everything that it advertises I would say is correct even down to the water proofing, measurements, and functionality (save my net posts). And even though I have a new house rule of "don't fall, jump, or even lean on the table" due to it's design flaw, and my conscious concern of me not wanting to have a broken table on my hands, I still think it's what I wanted. Only time will tell I guess.

Now that it's warmer and I've gotten plenty of garage ping pong in, I figured I'd finally give it a review. Obviously this was a daunting thing to order, considering assembly and the off-chance that it arrives damaged and I would have to go through the headache of re-packing it, sending it back, and getting a replacement. Because of that, I had to assemble it in the winter (so that I could return it quickly, if need be), which wasn't ideal, but was on me for ordering it for Christmas and not waiting. Anyway, the table arrived in perfect condition and was much easier to assemble than expected as long as you HAVE ANOTHER PERSON WITH YOU to help you. This would have been impossible alone. My garage floor is uneven, but the table is adjustable enough that it plays perfectly fine. The legs all adjust individually, as you'd expect, and the table surface is flat and pretty close to perfectly level. I'm not playing professional games in my garage, so this is all I was looking for. The ability to (easily!) fold one side up and play alone is awesome, though I know I won't use this feature much. Still, I HAVE used it a few times and it's simple and intuitive. The net is a pain to assemble, and the directions for doing so (a small sub-section in the manual) leave plenty to be desired. I wish there was a URL for a video detailing how to go about it. After about 15 minutes, though, my dad and I had it figured out and it's perfect. As far as the ALL WEATHER aspect goes, I'm not worried about it getting rained on or anything since, as I mentioned, it's in a garage, but I'm really hoping it stands up to Michigan humidity and rapid temp changes. Six months in and so far so good. I love this thing. The table does not come with balls or paddles, so I recommend visiting ColesTT if you buy this, picking some stuff out, and hopefully it all arrives at the same time so you can get right down to it!

I regret buying this JOOLA Berkshire table. It looked great and felt very sturdy out of the box. It initially seemed like a smart dual-purpose purchase: an outdoor dining table and ping pong table in one. Unfortunately, it turned out to be completely unfit for outdoor use. The attached photos show our second Berkshire table, which is two years old. JOOLA replaced the first under warranty (exactly one year after purchase) when it started peeling after the first winter, but the second table wasn’t covered under that same warranty. When it too started breaking down, we were left with a heavy, peeling, and cracking eyesore that's barely usable for dining and completely unsuitable for playing ping pong. The short 1-year warranty should have given me pause from the start. Most competitors, like Cornilleau and Kettler, offer 10-year warranties on their outdoor tables. For context, we live in a mild coastal Connecticut climate with neither extreme heat nor brutal winters. The table was covered when not in use for most of the summer and always during the winter. We started with JOOLA’s included black cover, which was thin, poorly made, and quickly began to degrade. We later replaced it with a much better third-party cover. Despite these precautions, the surface on the second table began peeling again within a year. By the end of its second winter (i.e. now), it is completely unusable. Small areas of peeling expanded into widespread cracks, deep enough that the table could no longer realistically be used for ping pong. After reading other reviews, it is clear this is not an isolated case. The surface finish simply isn't built to withstand outdoor conditions, despite how the product is marketed. I paid $2,000 for this table three years ago, which makes the outcome even more frustrating. The price has since dropped, which might tempt more buyers, but it shouldn’t. I am sure that some people may decide to chance it based on the many positive reviews. That will be a mistake they'll end up regretting. I'd bet most of those reviews were made shortly after purchase, when the table still looks and feels great. It's only after a few months that its lack of durability and tendency to crack become obvious. Based on this experience, I will be avoiding JOOLA entirely going forward. They do not stand behind this product, and their durability claims border on false advertising. It is a nice-looking table, but it is simply not built to last and certainly not to be kept outside. Honestly, it might start peeling if you look at it too hard.

Assembly - Easily sets up in minutes. Have a second person available to avoid damage while moving the larger parts. Storage - It folds up and out of the way. If storing outside, lock the wheels and maybe bungee it to something to keep the wind from moving it. Mobility - Very light, and the wheels help it glide over surfaces easily. Going over a threshold will take some extra care. Playability - The table plays great. If playing outside, wind will be a factor. Aesthetics - It looks professional. Quality/Durability - The build is sturdy and the parts all seem to be from quality materials. I like that the table surface is not wood so corners won't round off over time. If taken care of, this table will last decades with only the possibility of a few net replacements over time. Price - very fairly priced for the quality and versatility of indoor/outdoor play. Other thoughts - The box took a beating in transit to the shipping destination which caused a slight bend in on of the wheeled legs. Luckily the table surface was not damaged. I was fortunate enough to have the tools available to correct the issue in a few minutes. Others may want to seek replacement parts, or take it to a machine shop, etc if they have the same issue. I bought this as a Christmas gift to my parents and I will be buying one for myself.

I was a bit nervous about this table because there were some reviews that spoke of the product being damaged during shipping. But that was not the case for me. It was very well packed and protected, and was in mint condition upon arrival. In fact the most difficult part of assembly was just getting it out of the box. But I was happy it was packed so well. Assembly was easy, and took about a half hour once I had it unpacked. The table is very sturdy, rolls well on the wheels, and the net is great quality. I've played on some cheap ones and the net is great. I keep mine in my garage, so I couldn't comment about glare or how it holds up against weather. It folds up easily and quite compact. It has a low profile, maybe 2.5' at the wheel base, once it is folded up. Also, I LOVE the color! I'm not sure why, but I guess I am used to darker blue tables. This one was a lighter blue, and I love the look of it. The only CON I noticed is the slight dip in the center where the tables meet. One side dips just slightly below the other, maybe 1/4". But it was small enough that it was insignificant. This is a great table. Great quality. I highly recommend.
