I was using a letitree carbon fiber 16mm paddle before this, which was good enough - however, I Immediately noticed improved ball control when using this paddle. I like the extended handle (I use a two handed backhand sometimes) and the size (width) of the grip is perfect for my hand. I put a black over grip on mine, as the white was getting dirty - but that was just an aesthetic preference. I'm still somewhat new to pickleball and have been trying different paddles. I started with a cheap paddle just to see if I liked the sport and immediately changed to a better paddle. That was a significant step and well worth every penny! I've tried several Selkirk paddles and liked them but this one has been the best yet. It is a little heavier that others but doesn't fell overly cumbersome. The grip is very natural and comfortable. It is thick (which makes sense given the weight) which makes it very forgiving and easy to control the ball. If you are looking for a paddle that offers control, this one seems to be much better than others I have tried. At the same time, it still offers the power for long shots and smashes. I also like the rounded top, which gives a little extra change to reach those far shots without adding as much weight. Overall, this paddle just seems to fit more naturally, easy to grip, doesn't feel overly heavy and offers great control, especially for beginner-intermediates who are still honing their skills! I've only had the paddle for a few months so can't speak to longevity but it seems to be well-made so no reason to think it will break-down sooner than others. This racket improved my game relative to my other Head racket, one can initiate controlled spins easy and has not a hollow woody sound when playing with this racket. I highly recommend this racket for an intermediate player like myself.

My game is more about control and placement of the ball, than raw power. This paddle is perfect for me, the only one I've owned since I started playing. The grip is larger which fits my hands better, and longer which allows for a 2-handed backhand. Highly recommended!

I just started playing pickleball four months ago, and had a $70 Selkirk paddle that I liked but felt I’d “outgrown,” and wanted something a little better. This paddle is just what I needed and wanted! A really nice sweet spot, longer handle and great grip. I’ve only used it twice now, but it definitely made a difference and truly upped my game. First of all it's cool looking. The thickness of the paddle gives good response when hitting the ball. Unfortunately like all paddles the more you use them, and I'm sure and this will be the case with this paddle, the grittiness wears off. I would recommend this paddle.
