This is an awesome pickleball paddle. We are starting to get into the pickleball scene at our Texas beach house, and this has been a really nice paddle to have on hand. It feels lightweight, comfortable, and easy to control, and the carbon construction gives it a quality feel without making it feel heavy or awkward. The paddle has been easy to use and feels like a good fit for casual games, especially for someone like me who is still getting more into pickleball. It has a nice balance of comfort and responsiveness, and it feels well made overall. The only issue I had was that I could not get the registration chip to work. That was a little disappointing, but it is not a dealbreaker for me because the paddle itself performs well. Overall, this is a great lightweight carbon pickleball paddle. It feels good in the hand, plays well, and is a nice addition for beach house pickleball games.

I have used and tested dozens of paddles from the best brands available. I picked this one up as a mid level option. At this price point, there are quite a few options available. This new paddle from JOOLA is pretty good overall. The sweet spot is about what I would expect from an intermediate level paddle and it allowed me to both serve and return with some ferocity. I was able to control my hits very well. The paddle is lightweight and feels great in the hand. One thing I noticed differently from this and the top of the line JOOLA paddles is the feel of perfect balance between the weight of the surface and the handle. Regardless, at this price point, this is a good paddle that is from a trusted manufacturer and is a pretty good value. If you play for fun and need a beginner to intermediate carbon paddle, this one will be hard to top. Time will tell whether this paddle has good durability or not.

I am an intermediate level pickleball player. I have some control and placement, and I do okay at the net. I am still inconsistent. And one skill I do not have is adding any kind of spin. I tend to gravitate to paddles marketed for the intermediate player at what I consider an intermediate price ($100 range). This particular paddle is listed at around $180 but is currently on Amazon for $119. (I assume it is being replaced by the next generation/model). For those who can spin, the carbon face is a noticeably gritty feeling. And I do believe that this helps me with placement and control. The handle/grip is 5.25 inches, this length would accommodate a two-handed backstroke (which I don't use). But it may be worth looking at paddles with longer grips. The grip circumference is 4.125 inches. I have a small hand, so I really appreciate this slightly smaller grip. The paddle length is 16 inches and the width is 8 inches. I am more likely to choose a paddle that is longer and narrower. I am short and feel like I can use the extra reach. But in all honesty there was no noticeable difference for me when I played. Professional reviews of this paddle note: Exceptional speed, forgiving sweet spot, and great spin. I am far from being able to really evaluate all of these things in detail. For me I do not feel like I get a lot of power from the baseline with this paddle-but that could be user specific! (it does not have that satisfying pop that I like to hear-b). But I do think it gives me pretty good control and I like it at the net. One of my favorite features of Joola paddles (no matter the price range) is that they have the NCF chip. A tap of your phone to the handle brings up the registration information and all the specifics about any/all paddles you have registered. All in all this is a great paddle and I am happy to play with it. I love when I find a slightly more expensive paddle that falls in my price range.
