I knew nothing of the Holbrook brand. I was swayed by the glowing reviews. Mistake? Not at all! This paddle is exactly as the reviews describe. Lightweight with plenty of control. I tend to swing hard, and this paddle takes some power off, allowing me to add subtle amounts of spin, while giving me confidence to place my shots. Whenever someone asks if the can try it out they immediately notice the grip. Very tactile. And the light weight. One more thing, the stylish Holbrook design stands out from the others. I have played with almost all of the upper end paddles on the market, Selkirk, Joola, Onix to name a few. This paddle is a fraction of the price and plays amazing. It provides an incredible amount of control for my short game while still providing plenty of power when I need it. I've been so impressed with Holbrook paddles that we have 4 or 5 now.
