I started wearing these pants when the pandemic started. Working from home I needed comfortable clothes. These did the trick. These Joop Joops are WONDERFUL! I am 63, 5'0" and 165 (yeah, damn pandemic) and the XL fit great. The fabric is 100% rayon. It feels light, airy, and wonderful. Great on my skin. I hand wash, hang dry & they come out fantastic. They dry fast on my clothesline in the summer and clothes rack in the winter. Cool in the summer heat. Elastic high waist and elastic at ankles. The elastic waistline hides a ton of sins. One pocket on right leg. Size chart is reliable. They are not stretchy in any way, but after wearing them for a while, they do stretch out. I see many reviews say that they are see through...I do not find that. But I order the multi-colored ones. I would think the white ones would be more see-through then the colored one. IMHO These pants are made ethically in Thailand under strict Fair Trade regulations. I ordered the turquoise & the pattern is gorgeous but it is not really turquoise … more of a teal, still a beautiful color. I also got the white sand one + 2 others. This is my second purchase of these pants because they are so extremely comfortable. I live in a very hot climate, so having something breathable for summer is absolutely vital. The material is SUPER thin, but not at all sheer. I chose the dark blue ones, so I can't speak to the sheerness of any of the lighter colors, but I've never had a problem with this pair being see-though. They do shrink a bit after washing in hot water and there's no stretch to them, so if you don't plan on hand washing them, I'd opt for the larger size. The first pair I bought did eventually rip, but I'm pretty hard on my clothes and they lasted for over a year before I had to replace them, so I'd say they're really good quality considering how thin the material is. ... show more

I wasn't sure I should take a chance on these, but they are great! They are very cool and, so far, have held up to three dogs clawing for attention. Originally, I got them to kayak to protect my "mayonnaise" legs, but have since worn them for so much more than that. When I say.cool, I mean more than look-wise, but also tempurature-wise. When I don't want to wear shorts, I slip these puppies on, and they feel as if I have shorts on instead. Awesome! I think I might order a couple of extra ones just to make sure I have them on hand before they go out of stock. Just FYI, I'm 5'6" and 127 lbs, and the S/M fit perfectly! COULD I use an extra inch at the bottom? Maybe, but it wasn't too short to reveal my skeketal-width ankles, which is a HUGE plus to me!!! Lol ... show more

I honestly love these, I only wish it had pockets on both legs. Very comfortable and stretchy on the waist. I love the bright colors. I did buy another pair with a different design and the pant legs were a little different but I can see why it wouldn’t be completely uniform each time. The material felt a little stiff at first but after washing and wearing them a bit it gets softer. I’ll probably buy more eventually with different designs. ... show more

At first I was upset that I hadn't noticed they were hand wash only, but when I realized all of the ones I wanted were hand wash,I thought, "how lazy are you, girl?" and sucked it up. However, I did use the delicate wash cycle on my washer and had put them in a large nylon zipper bag. After the delicate cycle, I hung them up to dry and they dried faster than I had thought they would. I can't find a single complaint about these awesome harem pants. Please note, however, that the seller does recommend hand wash only. They were even nice enough to send me an email about it to make sure I knew. Pants are nice and soft, but they have a print which is not sewn up symmetrically and so is really obvious that it is off on the front waist.
