My cat is more than 8 years old, her exact age is unknown. When her owner passed away a few months ago, I explained to her daughter, that I'd be happy to take her cat and that's how it worked out. It took me some time to get her to accept a popular brand of dry kibble for indoor cats, and when the 3 pound bag reaches near the bottom, she just won't eat it. She will beg for treats though... all the time. I've managed to slowly help her shed about 7 pounds and she looks really healthy now but she still begs. I've been changing up when and what she gets for treats which seems to be working very well. When I take her outside wearing a harness, she tracks down the best grass she can find and devours it with gusto and since discovering that, I've been concerned about the nutrition in the kibble I've been feeding her, I've been looking at other options and Hill's Science Diet came across my screen so I decided to try a small bag. It arrived today and following the directions to transition slowly, I mixed it in with the end-stage kibble she's begun to notice isn't very tempting anymore and she picked up the aroma right away and began pushing through her regular food, eating only the Hill's Science Diet formula. I gave her an additional tablespoon full in a clean bowl and she was purring loudly while eating it. I was relieved when she seemed to be satisfied and sat down to clean her face. It was truly remarkable. I understand she should be transitioning, but I'm not in a position to purchase another bag of the original kibble and I'll keep a close eye on her as I feed her this new food once per day. I live very close to the school of veterinary medicine where I have getting great advice. I have three feral cats that have adopted our home. We have "Loquita" (means little crazy one")at 8 years is the old lady of the group. She now has a sensitive stomach and wasn't eating well and losing weight. My cat loves this food! She has a hard time eating the bigger pieces of other cat foods, but this is perfect size. She has gained the appropriate amount of weight back too. My cat is 15 years old.

My old cat really looked sickly. He doesn’t like most food. He has been on another well know , but cheaper cat food all his life. Recently, he stopped liking it. I switched about a month ago, boy what a difference! I was afraid he wouldn’t eat this, & I would be stuck with the extra expense. My 7 year old cat has had stomach and intestinal discomfort from other foods. This food has helped him 100% with both stomach and intestinal issues. He readily eats this food and likes the taste and shape too. If you can; avoid those corn and wheat based foods.
