I have had a huge, heavy wooden bed frame for the last 20+ years. It was finally time to get rid of it and upgrade to something more modern. I have been wanting a simple platform bed for a long time and finally chose this one after reading many reviews on different beds. I'm 48 years old and female, and the hardest part for me was lugging this heavy (60+lb?) box up my stairs and to the 2nd floor. I could have taken the pieces out and brought them up separately but didn't want to do that. After I brought it upstairs and set it down on my floor, I opened the box to start putting it together. It was very well packaged. All the pieces were clearly marked and the directions were fairly easy to understand. I did make a couple of mistakes - both times I had the pieces backwards, so be sure all your fittings are only seen from the inside of the frame and not the outside. They gave you the only tools you need - an allen wrench and a separate little wrench that you only need for 2 screws. The directions do state they recommend power tools for ease of putting together, but I didn't have the drill with an allen wrench fitting, so I did everything by hand. I probably had the entire bed put together in an hour or so. It is very sturdy. There are slats that go lengthwise and widthwise to support the bed. I have now slept on it for 3 nights and it's very comfortable and does not squeak at all. I'm very pleased with this purchase and it has really made my bedroom look so much nicer! This bed frame is exactly what we were looking for. Our dogs like to sleep under the bed so the extra height is perfect. The modern yet simplistic design works well in our room and the assembly was completed in about 30 minutes. I had one corner connector piece that was broken but was able to find a work around enabling me to fully complete the assembly. I messaged the seller and they promptly sent me a replacement. They were very kind and professional in their communication. I really didn’t want to send the whole bed back for 1 corner piece so I am very happy they were able to send me that piece.     • Good but it does squeak sometimes
Easy to put together and very solid, but I will say it does squeak a little bit. Due to the bars on the bottom not being screwed in and more like like slipping the bars in a clasp it can squeak. They can also rarely, but they can come out, but again that is rarely and would only be one. If that does happen they pop back in no issues. We were looking for a king frame for the winter house trailer. This is perfect in every respect. It was easy to assemble and very sturdy. Our total weight is about 350. A bonus is the footboard enables the sheet and blanket to be tucked in. We bought foam wrappers for the legs to avoid kicking a metal leg and injuring ourselves. Easy to build with two people. Very very sturdy and supports a matress well. I quickly painted over the fake wood grain look, but this bed looks modern and exactly what I needed. The sturdiness is very impressive and there has been no noise at all placed on carpet. Highly, highly recommend!

I got this bad for when I moved into my apartment and no longer wanted a box spring. Assembly was easy and I was able to do it all by myself. However, I do recommend having a second person to make it go faster. I was a little disappointed with how the headboard looked once I put in my mattress (12”) but I’ll live. Being in an apartment, finding storage solutions is a must and I love that I can store stuff under the bed. If I ever have to move it will be easy to take apart and assemble again which is another plus for me. When sleeping on it there is no squeaking or rubbing sounds (quite as a mouse) and it feels sturdy. Best purchase I’ve made so far. ... show more

    • Inferior Quality, Squeaky and Broke within a Few Months
Do not Recommend. I purchased this because there were a lot of reviews. It says it was not squeaky and for the value, but is not worth the money I spent on it. After only a few months of use, the weight capacity does not seem correct as light use and bent the frame, and now my bed is just sinking as the metal slates do not hold up. I’m using a foam bed. There should’ve been no reason why it broke so easily and fast. Inferior Quality. Update There is no warranty, they sent me a new bed, I replaced for parts, the return was a nightmare I chatted daily regarding ongoing lies from customer service missed pickups, wrong info given to me, wrong addresses, driver didn't follow specific doorbell instructions or wait long enough for us to walk down, nearly one month later finally picked up, I was offered a refund for troubles and yet to see it after confirmation of delivery ... show more
