This is a review of the JOM Metal Bed Frame, Queen Size. It was an easier experience than I expected. The good stuff: The bed frame was well made, and I was able to assemble it with great ease. The frame has multiple different mounting holes for any after-market headboard, a nice touch. Also, the bottom of the frame legs have plastic, so they will not scuff the floor, another nice touch. While the bed frame is not adjustable, it fit a queen mattress perfectly. The middling stuff: While the listed dimensions were probably correct (which I obviously did not read ahead of time), it was much taller than I expected. When you put a box spring on top, it is almost comically high off the ground. I would recommend that you purchase a low profile box spring along with a box spring skirt for decoration, unless you like being that high up in the air in your bedroom. The bad stuff: What is the deal with all of that cheap styrofoam? I have seen this problem so many times over the past few months with furniture that I needed to assemble on-site. It usually takes longer to clean up the styrofoam pieces (and they cling to EVERYTHING!) than the time it takes to build the furniture. And we're talking about a metal bed frame... what is going to break in transit? Just wrap it up in newspaper or something. My verdict: 4 stars (blame the styrofoam on the missing star). I took a star off because the tool used to put the bed frame together bent while using. It wasn't difficult to put together. Although it took more time than I anticipated. I carefully read the description and photos before choosing the frame because I thought it would be easy and quick. It's not quick. Set aside time and use patience. I'm 5 ft 5 inches. I have to use a step stool to get in my bed. I used a queen box spring and mattress. I didn't pay attention to the height after assembly before ordering. I looked at the photos and thought it would give me space for storage underneath my bed. I will have storage, but depending on where I place things...it may be visible when walking into the bedroom. And I have a bed skirt/ dust ruffle that matches my comforter. So. Make sure you're tall, have long legs and look at the height of this bed frame along with your box spring and mattress height. ... show more

I ordered this queen size bed frame for my spare bedroom. I assembled it, alone, in a little under an hour. The frame can be used without a box spring. I did place one on it with a mattress and it was pretty high off the ground. The frame has a support bar running horizontal and one running vertical. I'm concerned that over time, the mattress will sag through the gaps in the bedframe. The box spring will help alleviate that problem. I am able to attach a headboard, if I so please. This is just a simple queen size bed frame. Obviously a box spring is needed because it's not a platform bed. It's super easy to put together and seems to be sturdy enough that I'm not worried about it falling down or falling apart. It's also not super heavy. I ordered this bed frame for my sons room as he had broken his “real” bed. The box came slightly damaged but the item itself was not damaged. The instructions were clear cut and easy to follow. It came with all the necessary hardware to put the bed together. It is really tall after assembled and mattress/box spring put on top. It is very lightweight yet seems to be pretty sturdy and can support a good amount of weight. The top of the bed rails have an area that a headboard could be attached if you wanted.
