The cabin air filter on my 2015 Model S hasn't been changed in probably 3 years. When Tesla mobile service came to swap out my 12V battery, they commented that the air filter was pretty dirty, but they didn't have one at the moment. Ordered this one...followed instructions found on a YouTube video to change it and I was done in about 5 minutes. Tested by running the HVAC at various settings, all seems well.     • It was wrong size for my Model S even though the description said it would.
It wasn't the right size for my 2017 Model S. It was too thick and too short. I wasted my time taking apart my glove box area only to find out it was the wrong size even though the description said it was. Disappointing since I already threw out the box so I can't return it.
