I am enjoying this soap. The aroma and the amount of lather is amazing. I have only been using it for 3 weeks. While I have yet to see any effect on dark spots, I do feel a smoothness in my skin and while not drying, my face is less oily. I will give feedback on the lightening aspects in another month or so, however I look forward to using this soap everyday. So based on that, I will buy it again. 11/7/2024 Following up on my initial review, I am still loving this soap. I use it daily on my face an do I have just started using my second bar. My facial skin is brighter and most of the dark spots I had on my face are no longer there. I see other reviews where folks are using the bars in the shower and/ or bathing, I will have to try that, but I will definitely buy this again. Face feels so clean and fresh. Skin is smooth and soft and it lasts a long time.

When I read the word “Acid” in a product name I get a bit concerned if it would be good for the very sensitive skin on my face. After reading reviews from others with sensitive skin who had good results with this soap I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad that I did! I love this soap and it is so gentle. I have had absolutely no irritation to the skin on my face. I have rosacea, and my skin is such that I can’t wear nearly any of the sunscreens even baby formulations or formulations for sensitive skin. Unless it is 100% zinc oxide, I will get a chemical burn. I can’t wear makeup that has sunscreen in it for the same reason. I wash my face in the shower with this soap. The lather that is created with the mesh soap sleeve that comes with is truly the silkiest, most luxurious that I have ever used on my face, so much so that I just let it stay on my face for quite some time. I do use it fairly close to my eyes and have never gotten any into my eyes because the lather is so thick it doesn’t run. My face has become very soft since I have started using this soap neither dried out nor oily. I think it will take a longer period of use to see if spots on my face will fade. Whether they do or don’t I will continue using this product because I am so pleased with it.

I am on my second bar now. The soap is very moisturizing, not striping at all; the smell is very pleasant to me. I can't speak on the brightening/fading properties because not much time has passed to see results, hence the four star rating. If I see any changes in the coming months, I will update. 1/18/25 1 Year Post-Use Update: I haven't seen any difference in the hyperpigmentation. I consistently used the soap for a little over 8 months and the fading wasn't very noticeable. I think it's important to mention that the nature of my hyperpigmentation is from injuries, scrapes and cuts from a MV accident and not things like acne scars so, the fading/brightening treatment needs a different approach. I started using stronger, prescription products and the fading became very apparent.

I have recently purchased this soap based on previous reviews. I was also looking to reduce plastic bottle waste. I must say, I thoroughly enjoying using this soap. It was the right price for 3 bars. The scent smells wonderful and clean. The soap does not leave a residue on my skin. I also love the silky feel of the soap lather. The only con I have is, I do not feel the soap moisturizes my skin, but then again, I really haven't found a soap that does. Overall, I am very pleased with this soap and will purchase again in the future.

I really enjoy using this kojac acid soap! You get a lot of product for the price- the pictures I took show the 2 upopened soaps and the soap on the left is the one that I've been using for the past few months every day, and as you can see, there is still a lot of soap left so this will last you a very long time! I also see a difference in the dark spots I have on my face-getting old sucks! lol this soap really brightens my face up and I will definitely continue to use it. This soap is good for all skin conditions and even though it says "acid" in the name, it's very mild and doesn't sting at all-especially compared to other acidic facial products. At first I wasn't sure how good it would lather because the bar is pretty hard, but it actually lathers and foams up very well! I usually use liquid soaps but this one has changed my mind about using bars plus it's environmentally friendly with all recyclable packaging which is definitely a plus. If you're thinking about getting this-I'm telling you that you should and will not be disappointed.

This is nice soap, but it doesn't remove dark spots at all. The bars don't last very long, but they do smell nice and makes my skin feel clean.

I’m really careful about what I put on my 72-year-old face, but I love to try new products. I’m all set on moisturizers etc., but I was washing my face with the same foaming soap I use for my hands. Johohula Kojic Acid Soap has made me realize that it matters what you wash with! This soap now lives in my shower and by the sink because I won’t wash with anything else! I love the ample suds you get with just a little bit of soap - very economical! The smell is exotic and it gives my face a little tingle. Though I’ve been using it for a short while, I can see my face getting smoother and my skin tone more even. I also love that it’s from a small business. You should try it!

I was worried ordering a soap with multiple active ingredients - I thought my skin might freak out. So far I have been using the soap for 1-2 weeks. It's probably too soon to see real benefits, but my skin has not had a negative reaction and it feels softer and more hydrated than before. The bars are kind of on the small side, but you get 3 of them so I'm the end I think it's a pretty good deal.
