This bed is beautiful and very sturdy! The velvet is soft and the hydraulic lift is so nice. Very easy to lift and stays up on its own. Assembly looks overwhelming but if your organized and can follow some very simple, well illustrated instructions this will be a peice of cake. Its took me about 3 hours to assemble but I might have smoked some creative herb first. 🌿 😀 Overall, I'm super impressed and super thankful the fed ex carried this down 20 stairs to my apartment. Bed was not fun to assemble, I worried about the sturdiness as I went, but when I tightened everything at the end I was happy with the finished product. 2 adults to assemble- lots of pieces, its a couple hour job. The hydraulic installation was confusing, directions could have been a lot better. Pieces were for the most part not labeled, so figuring out what piece is what letter and which way it goes is crucial. Lots of storage space, my wardrobe is out of sight. I put a eucalyptus garland on the headboard which dressed it up nicely. Sturdy bed. Easy to lift up and put down. provides enough support I decided not to use a foundation. For starters the bed is nicely made! It feels really soft and sturdy. I received the product early than expected so I got right to breaking down my former frame before I opened the box and realized there were so many things missing. I have no legs, no instructions, and no screws. I am unsure what else I should have but the pics show what I currently have. I have company this weekend so this is very stressful but I will update my review once the seller reaches out and responds to my messages. I believe it will be handled well but I am truly disappointed that this item was packaged wrong. UPDATE: those missing items come separately! I should be getting it any day now. ... show more

Overall, we like the frame so far. I’m a little hesitant of the velveteen as I’m already noticing dog hair being attracted to it and we keep a clean home. Will look for a product to help resist it. Being a person who grew up with European flip up beds for storage—was very excited to find this. If you’re not accustomed to assembling furniture find someone to help as it is a big puzzle to complete and because not all pieces are labeled and some of the instructions are not accurate (there were no pre-fastened pieces, making the instructions difficult bc you didn’t know what side the bracket was to be on…had to take some things apart and redo.) it should have been easier and more clear! One person can do it until installing the hydraulic arms. Must have help there. Otherwise I did it by myself. (50 year old female!) The supplied tools stink! The wrench hurts one’s hand. Make sure you have a 1/2 inch wrench and an Allen tip for a driver. Makes life a little easier. There‘s a lot of prepping before putting it together so be patient and do it in order. ... show more

Been looking to get an actual bed frame for years and wanted something nice with storage, and this fit the bill! It looks very nice and I like having a headboard. I got the black. I also like that the slats that are used to support the mattress lock in. It lifts fairly easily once assembled. I was able to assemble it by myself in 4-5 hours, but it would have been a lot easier with another person as recommended. The instructions aren't the most clear, but you can figure it out without too much trouble. Pay CLOSE attention to how you're orienting some of the longer pieces by noting the number and directional placement of the screw holes per the images. I put some in the wrong way and then had to take them apart and turn them around once or twice. The package that was delivered was VERY heavy so if you don't live on a bottom floor, you may want to carry it up in pieces. (That is what I had to do.) If you think the hydraulics aren't working once you put them in place - don't panic!! They won't move unless you have enough weight on the frame, aka the mattress. ... show more
