Jobe’s organic garden Lime is an ideal granular for increasing the pH that strongly influences soil health. Low pH can cause poor fertilizer response, poor soil structure, & weak turf. Most plants grow well in soil with a pH between 6 & 7, with 6.5-6.8 being ideal. When the pH drops below 6.0, Many nutrients become unavailable for plant uptake. Adding garden Lime will increase the pH & make those nutrients available again. Test soil pH before applying. Ideal for hydrangeas changes the pH of the soil, turning hydrangeas a lovely pink. I bought this to help acidify the soil for my blueberry bushes. While I can't say for sure, I do think it has helped, because I have more blueberries than I have in years past. I will keep using it and hope I have the same success with my berry bushes!

PH has always been a problem in my garden and I wanted something organic to keep my blueberries in the right PH soil. I found Jobe's soil acidifier about three years ago and I haven't looked back! It's great and I apply it once a year to the soil when I add in my new compost.
