The lights are very nice. I specifically searched for outdoor lights because of past light failures. These hang inside my screen porch, so they do not get wet but get hot or cold according to the weather. My concern is that they are advertised on Amazon as outdoor lights, but the boxes that the lights come in say "indoor decorations." If they fail, I will return them, even though the return window has closed.

Lights are bright and first impression was that the LEDs appeared molded in that gave me a good feeling about longevity as opposed to others whose leads turn to rust. NOT SO! Also I and many others complained, once switched off, they come back on in some kind of demo mode cycling through all the ugly flashing sequences. Literally the only lights I ever experienced that cannot be used with a timer!! They say they come with a remote: One out of four sets had the remote. The others had a different non-remote transformer so would have to be manually set every night and morning. Poor inventory control? Poor stock picking? Then the first night we had some moderate wind which exposed another weakness that killed it for me...they are so lightweight and flexible, they had blown up over the roof and gutter, so largely invisible (I mean, still clipped in but the icicle strands flipped up and over). This was after hanging three sets, so I left the fourth unopened and scheduled to return. Well, what with inclement weather and my travel schedule I didn't get to take them down for over 3 weeks. That's when I observed many of the LED leads were already rusting badly...easily seen through the clear insulation. From that observation I figure they would be useless for another season. So neither weatherproof or suitable for outdoor use. So glad I discovered this within the return window!

I bought these to add to my already installed lights that aren’t high-tech and they don’t quite match so I just added them to the second floor. They aren’t as bright as others on the market as you can see by the picture even at their brightest setting with the remote. The remote itself has kind of a short range (about 10-15 feet in line of sight) so planning ahead to where your transformers will be plugged in is good if you plan on using the settings. It didn’t come with any replacement bulbs so if one goes out I hope it doesn’t make the whole thing useless. That remains to be seen though.

The media could not be loaded. We love that our home looks different than the other homes around us. These weren't hard to put up. We live in a windy place and sometimes the icicles do flip up onto the roof. We saw someone else install the lights up under the eaves and that may be better for keeping the icicle lights off of the roof in any wind. But other than the wind flipping them up occasionally, we love our icicle lights!! These take up very minimal power compared to the old non-led lights. So great! Also, I love that they are a warm color despite being LED. I changed the wreath above the porch to a red color (see video), and it is all so beautiful now! We used 6 strands of icicle lights for our home (so that is 6 boxes).

The media could not be loaded. Excellent set of LED icicle lights in the color of purple. I use these as part of my outdoor Halloween decorations and the purple stands out fantastic many compliments from the neighbors I just strung the lights through the shrubbery, and I mixed them with orange and some orange and purple, but this set of lights hands-down is my favorite, multiple options, flashing to wave to blink Awesome! I will most definitely recommend this brand and this set of lights. I expect them to be a high performer. They’ve been operating every day since I put them out and I really like them. I’m very pleased.
