  • A very, very nice hand strap
Color: Red Stitch
I've used a hand strap on every camera I've had for a lot of years. If you're not using a neck strap, you can just drop your hand and the camera dangles there with little possibility of falling to the ground. I'm too chicken to carry my camera around without some tethering and I don't always use a shoulder strap. I ordered one of these for my second camera, it had a somewhat tattered hand strap on it. It's a Nikon Z7, which is a bit on the small side for a mirrorless, and this strap had to be tightened up to its maximum for it to work properly, but it does work marvelously. I have a Spiderholster (ya know, the expensive one) on my Z8. After I saw how nice this one is I ordered another for the Z8, but with read stitching. This strap is as comfy as the Spiderholster, at under a third the price. But, it has some other advantages: This product has an arca-swiss tripod connection built in. And, that eyelet-thing on the far side of the arca-swiss plate is perfect for attaching my shoulder strap. So, I don't have to rig up something. Of course, the Spiderholster is bullet-proof, will never wear out. I'll try to check back in after a year or two to see how this one holds up. Not letting go my Spiderholster just yet, it'll be in back of my camera-cabinet. ... show more

  • EXCELLENT hand strap for my DSLR! Great price, super quality.
Color: Red Stitch
I don't write a lot of reviews of stuff I buy on Amazon. I got places to go, things to do! But I really wanted other people to know how great this strap is! I had about five different similar straps in my cart: the Lynca, the Herringbone, the IMZ, the Megagear, and maybe another couple, all of the same basic design. I finally chose this particular one by JJC because of the Arca Swiss compatible release plate, and also for the second cross-strap. I had a hand strap that came with my recent Canon 80D purchase from Amazon, but it was pretty cheap, had a flimsy plastic plate to attach it to the bottom of my camera, and I could never get it tight enough to work with the release plate on my tripod. So I bought this JJC strap, figuring that if the built-in release plate worked with my tripod, I could work a lot faster, going from taking pictures freehand to tripod pictures without having to unattach and reattach pieces. Well, the JJC strap arrived today and BOY, am I happy! The packaging looked a little generic and I was on my guard, but inside was a fabulous product. First off before I forget, it comes with great instructions, in English/German/Japanese, with great photographs to show you how to attach the strap to your camera and adjust it to fit your hand, and how to attach it to the tripod. (Not that the same instruction sheet also has instructions for the other JJC strap, the one with blue stitching instead of red, that has a u-plate instead of the Arca Swiss plate. Apparently the u-plate lets your camera sit flat on a surface, while this one has the Arca Swiss plate that lets you attach it to compatible tripods.) I easily attached the strap to my camera, and adjusted the two straps that go around my hand so they fit perfectly. The strap feels secure, and seems to be made of high quality materials that look like they'll stand up to heavy use. There's some nice comfortable padding on the wider strap that goes around the back of your hand. I'm particularly impressed by the part that attaches to the bottom of the camera: it is SOLID, THICK METAL. Very nice; worlds better than the strap that originally came with my camera. The screw that goes into the camera itself is set in a slot that allows you a little over a half inch of play, so you can set the front-back position of the plate on your camera right where you want it. There's a flip-up handle on the screw that lets you quickly begin screwing it into place, and the slot is the perfect width for that trusted tool, the penny, to fully tighten it down. There's rubber between the plate and your camera to both protect and add friction so it won't slide around—I remember that some of the other straps I looked at just seemed to have metal-on-metal, while one had cork (which was also cool). What I didn't know when I bought this strap, was that there's also a standard threaded hole in the metal plate, so if you wanted to attach your camera to a tripod or something OTHER than your Arca Swiss compatible tripod, you have that option. I was really pleased about this, because sometimes I want to attach my camera to my Gorilla Pod instead of my full tripod, and I can now do that without removing this strap—BONUS! There's also a hinged tab on the end of the plate, which has a hole through it. I must admit my ignorance when I first saw this, but upon investigation when I was shopping through all of these straps, I learned that this is for attaching your camera to one of those quick release neck straps that I've seen pro sports photographers use, where you clip your camera on a strap that lets you hang your camera by your side while you use another camera. Well that's cool; I'm going to have to try that out! I do a little leathercrafting on the side, so I'll look into making one of those for myself. The use of the tab is covered in the instruction sheet, also. Oh, and I tested the Arca Swiss release plate in my old tripod, and it works great! Man, am I happy with this strap. This makes my camera so much easier to use, and it feels safe and secure in my hand with the strap attached, with or without the cross strap. (The cross strap makes it feel super-secure though, which is great.) Thanks guys! Made my day. ... show more

  • It's Handy!
Color: Black Stitch
I use it on my Canon 5D Mark IV. I've found it to be pretty trustworthy if I'm just holding my camera with that and not my other hand for support. One improvement that could be made to is if the small strap that goes around the outside of your wrist just had 1 snap instead of 2, because I've come close to losing that extra strap more than once. It only needs to release in one place, so permanently securing the strap that's closer to the bottom of the strap would be a vast improvement. Otherwise, it is comfortable to wear, adjustable and has held up well in the year or so I've had it. A good investment for sure. ... show more

  • An excellent photographers accessory!

The Widen DSLR Camera Wrist Hand Strap Grip with Quick Release Tripod Plate is a game changer! I bought two of these to accommodate my Canon 5D MK IV and R6 MK II. This hand strap is a great accessory, with additional components (quick release tripod plate and an extra small strap for added security). This will complement my upcoming photo-tour. ... show more

  • Awesome Product!! Well worth the investment
Color: Red Stitch
I had purchased the strap for my Canon EOS Rebel T7 and it's perfect! I can carry the camera with the strap and the hand strap and feel confident that it's not going to slip off of my hand or fall. The material is very comfortable and well put together. I would definitely buy this product again in the future for other cameras that will purchase. ... show more

  • So close to perfect. Highly recommend.
Color: Blue Stitch
Firstly, I love it. That said, I’ve been using it for about 4 months & I’m noticing that the snaps that hold the small strap around your wrist are beginning to loosen up (wait! Don’t go anywhere). They did an amazing job with the way it connects to the camera’s bottom, allowing it to sit flat, & it’s very comfortable, but those snaps are/were starting to make me paranoid…HOWEVER, I’ve also noticed that JJC & some copycats now sell a similar item, but without the small strap all together. Decided to tighten the main strap, relying on it much more, and now that little bonus strap matters a whole lot less & it feels way more secure. I’m a fan of JJC so I’m hoping they read the reviews, because I still want the strap & it seems like an easy design tweak (small click-in connectors), would make this thing flawless.🤞 Either way, it’s my favorite bit of gear. I love having my camera in my hand at all times, as it should be, and feeling like I’m protected from any potential bonehead accidents that I might have. ... show more
