I really like the components of this strap. The base that screws into the bottom of the camera is well designed and multi functional. Also like the secondary strap that snaps around the thumb which makes this strap superior to those that don't have this feature. Very secure with safety in mind.

    • Great hand strap, not so great tripod base

I've used this for several photo shoots now, the strap is secure when attached to my wrist and a huge improvement over a neck strap. Unfortunately after a couple of attempts using the quick release plate with my tripod, I do not trust it. The screw that connects the plate to the camera comes lose when making tripod adjustments (such as transitioning from landscape to portrait mode.) The issue seems to be that the hole on the base plate is too wide which causes the screw to come loose and move around. This causes instability which is not optimal for a tripod mounted camera. I am not sure why the hole on the base plate is sized the way it is and surprised I don't see other reviewers mention this. I wish I had purchased the model without the quick release plate. ... show more
