  • Excellent.
No problems. Easy to fly and a great entry powered glider.

  • A great choice for a first 4ch RC plane
This plane is designed for the first time pilot and really makes the chances of a successful first flight much better. First off you should always seek assistance from an experienced pilot or get a simulator. But if you take your time and approach this slowly and following the directions, it's a joy to fly. The high mounted wing and pusher design make for a very stable design. The glider like wings make the stall speed very low so landings are very controllable. The foam material isn't as brittle as the older type EPP and feels like it should absorb some pretty harsh crashes without breaking entirely. Once assembled and trimmed to glide while the battery pack is in place, the gyro handles the rest. I actually had a bit too much up elevator but once I throttled up and tossed it, the gyro brought the nose right back down to level surprisingly fast. The batteries will get you about 15 minutes of constant mid throttle flying or you can get some altitude, throttle back and enjoy gliding giving you quite a bit more time in the air. The three assist levels are a great way for new pilot to slowly up the required control skills so they can advance at a safe and comfortable pace. But on complete manual, you can actually do some pretty crazy maneuvers with the plane. If you're an FPV enthusiast, this would be great platform for adding a camera! ... show more

  • Flies well and durable
The media could not be loaded. The safe mode provides good stability for the beginner making it easy to fly. You must be able to use the rudder and ayleron ron collectively for turning in tight areas. This does perform great even in light wind with no wind block. Over it flies well and is very durable with good battery life. For anyone starting out or just wanting to fly in small areas this is a good choice at a good value. ... show more

  • Impressive for the price, responsive
The media could not be loaded. I am more or less a beginner in the fixed-wing RC hobby. I fly a Horizon Hobby plane at the local flying park and am still getting my wings, mostly focusing on perfecting my flight patterns and landings. I’ve been at it for about a month and still get a little nervous when things get a bit out of control. I thought it would benefit me to be able to fly on my property (about an acre and a half), but even my AeroScout is too large and fast for that. This little plane is just the ticket to help me build confidence without having to travel every time I want to fly. My first attempt at launching didn’t go well, as I was trying to use the controller and launch the plane at the same time. You have to press the takeoff button, throttle up, and toss the plane all within 5 seconds, but I forgot to release the takeoff button, and it went astray into the neighbor’s yard. No damage as it hit a bush. My second attempt was much better. I released the button just after I tossed it. From there it went into "hover mode", and just flew a small circle about 10 meters off the ground until I engaged the aileron stick, then it was all mine. It was an easy flyer, much easier than my bigger plane. I was able to fly it with confidence, making tight turns, going up about 100 feet, then bringing it down and flying it about 10 feet off the ground at what seemed to be next to standing still. I was even able to hand catch it that first flight. The next morning I went out to the fly field, where I shot some video. What I like: - Pusher prop: The propeller is behind the front part of the plane, which is great for a beginner since crashes won’t impact the propeller. - Extremely lightweight: Crashing this will likely not cause any damage unless you nose-dive directly into a hard surface. - Two batteries: I got more than ten minutes out of each battery and only stopped because I was unsure how much battery life I had left. I think ten minutes is a good baseline to set a timer. - Responsive: Controls were every bit as responsive as my Spektrum DX9 with my bigger planes. Since it is a slow flyer, it can turn on a dime, avoiding the trees that always seem to be in the way. What I didn’t like: - Nothing. I can’t find any reason to criticize this. 5 stars for sure. - ... show more

  • Taking Flight
It's surprisingly easy to control, and the Xpilot gyro helps keep it stable in the air. I was able to get it flying smoothly in no time. The dual batteries are a nice touch, as they give you plenty of flight time. I also like that it's lightweight and durable. I've had a few rough landings, and it's held up well. It's a great way to get started with RC planes, and it's a lot of fun to fly! ... show more

  • It's an overall good trainer/glider
This id consider a glider that is a slow flier that is a full 4 channel that has a gyro delivering different assist modes. It's pretty easy to fly and I'd consider myself as a beginner only having flown 4 other planes. This is the new version of this model and is a brushed unit that uses a pusher prop mounted up high allowing for not so perfect landings. For the money it's a pretty good value. Stability is good it's fun to fly although it being a lighter slow flyer you'll want very calm conditions. To mention it is slow, but it's slow for a reason. As a beginner you want something that's on the slower side that gives you adequate response time and allows for imperfect landings. Grassy areas are perfect. Comes with two lipo packs, batteries will be needed for the transmitter. ... show more

  • 4 Channel RC Plane
This is SUCH a great beginner/starter RC Plane if you have no prior experience! I'm really good with crawlers but I wanted to get into planes. This has been quite the learning experience but this specific product has been monumental in teaching me how to use them. With benefits like Safe Mode, you aren't just thrown to the wolves with all the settings and features and then quickly crash and shatter your plane. Wonderful experience from start to even now almost 2 months later. ... show more
