A few years ago I was tasked with nannying my twin grandkids. This set became a ‘must have’, although I was mostly thinking of myself at the time and what I could do to make them happy. Careful to select just the right set.. our tea-party days quickly became a tradition every Thursday. ~~~Over this last summer we spent more time at the park having picnics, and the set began to collect dust. Then just a few weeks ago, my ‘nannying’ days were coming to a close. They’d be entering school. ~~~Our last outing, my grandson (yes, the boy of the twins) asked if we could do a tea-party..?!! 💛 So of-course I had to make time in that day to get back to my home and do the whole spread! ~~~From finger-foods a few years ago, to full meals now.. when we entered my home, that beloved little 5 yr old boy went strait to the carrier and opened it to excitedly start the ‘set-up’. ~~~If that’s not validation of a well loved ‘heirloom to be’, I don’t know what is! ~~~So grateful for the love this set created as a bonding focal point between this Nanna and her most beloved Grandbabies…💛 What more could I possibly say… ... show more

This is a very sweet tea set for children! I bought the pink one with white polka dots for my toddler granddaughter. It is even sweeter in person than in the photos, however, after I received it, I decided to hold off giving it to her until she is older. It *is* china and I believe my granddaughter needs to be more familiar with breakable dishes before she and I begin to use it together. The storage suitcase to (carefully) hold each item in the set is adorable ~ and certainly sturdy enough to keep the stowed set safe and sound. I would recommend this for children who already eat meals with breakable dishes, so perhaps, age 3 and up. But this is a lovely set and I can't wait for it to join the toy rotation at my house. ... show more

Just picked this up for Grandpa-Grand Daughter tea parties. It is just right. The only thing that would be nice would be something that keeps the lid on the tea pot. When she pours us our tea, the lid comes off. I'm sure she'll figure out how to hold the lid on when she pours. Just not there yet.
