This case is incredible. I accidentally left my iPad on the top of my car as I drove off one day. I heard something fall off of my car as I was getting on the freeway on ramp. By the time I realized it was my I pad I was already half a mile down the freeway. I got off on the next exit and turned around expecting it to be a shattered mess. I pulled off and ran out in the middle of the on ramp to grab my ipad. It had visibly been run over many time. Once I got back to my car I was surprised that the screen even turned on. Once I got home and pulled off the screen protector that was cracked I found that the iPad was in perfect condition without a scratch. I would recommend this case to anyone looking for cheap but durable protection. It saved me big time.

So I was very disappointed when I purchased my new iPad mini 4 and found out that Apple changed from having smart cases to a two piece Smart Cover system... I really didn't want two pieces or to have to pay $100 for them! So I searched and searched for a comparable item that seemed up to my standards. Eventually I stumbled across this case and I'm glad that I did! It is similar enough in size and design to the good ol Apple smart cases. Same magnetic sleep/wake cover, works well, fits my iPad mini 4 very snug, button and camera openings line up very well, and the color was pretty close to described!! Good work out of these guys on this product. Exactly the slim kind of case I wanted for bringing my mini around in my purse at a fraction of the cost of Apple's! Stylish and protective! The only reason I give it 4/5 stars is because in the future I would also like to see a magnetic strip on the back of the case as well to hold the cover back when trying to use tablet in vertical position for reading, etc. :D

iPad mini 4 revised review I own a number of JETech accessories. This product was purchased as my primary protection for my iPad Mini 4. The finish is durable, does not capture fingerprints too easily, marks do wipe off easily with a rag. The fold over cover makes for a good and sturdy stand. The back cover provides plenty of protection, while leaving the speakers and external ports open. Former users of Apple’s authentic Smart Cover should be forewarned that with the extra back/body protection, you do have a little more to hold on to back there. This extra protection does not add much in the form of weight, nor will you likely notice it when you’re holding the portrait in tablet mode, while sitting. You will be aware of it when lying in bed and holding the iPad Mini in widescreen mode. ***Updated*** I am revising this review and removing one star. For all intents and purposes I still think it is a great case, but caution should be taken with those who want protection, but in day to day use you may notice a few design flaws. Of note the Smart Cover inspired front to the JETech case is good while covering the screen but sadly feels a bit bunched when placed in the “open” position, behind the iPad Mini 4. Since most of us will be using our phones in the open position this is of some note. People who like to be as close to their iPad as possible, or who are familiar with the the Apple Smart Cover will notice this the most. With the Apple Smart Cover rests behind the ipad you barely notice it. With the JETech model you picky users will feel it like a bulge behind the case. It is distracting enough to notice, and as cases with cover flaps goes, it is more noticeable than most. The second touch point that that will bother picky users is that the JETech case for iPad Mini 4 is not flush around the body of the iPad Mini 4. This is noticeable most when holding the iPad Mini 4 in portrait mode, or really, just holding it period. To make matters worse the non flush gripping of the case is further made noticeable by it having chamfered edges. it is neither pleasing to look at and it will likely be impossible for many not to notice. All that said I still give the JETech iPad Mini 4 case a 4 out of five. I like the company products and think it is worth considering. Some people could care less and will grip their iPad Mini 4 in a way that makes that less bothersome, it just so happens that both of these design shortcomings are a deal breaker for me and likely will be for people who want the Smart Cover look, but want back cover protection, but will be discerning about the small details. Had I known it would be this uncomfortable I would have looked for a back case that just accommodated the Smart Cover, as an alternative. Outside of that I really enjoy the case, like the weight, it is easy to clean, and for the most part it looks like a very quality accessory for my iPad Mini 4.

The JETech case looks very much like the original Apple case that would fold under and support the iPad on a couple of angles. The main difference between this one and the original Apple case, was that the hinge of the Apple case magnetically snapped onto the edge of the iPad. This one has a full shell that covers and protects the back, making it not super easy to remove. This case also has the magnets in the flap that tell the iPad to go to sleep when you close it. The overall quality is good, but I'm a little skeptical on how long it will last with lots of use. I don't use my iPad a lot so I'm not too worried about heavy-use durability. For the price, you can't go wrong from something that is gives good protection and functions similarly to the original Apple protective cover.

"You get what you pay for," I understand this saying all to well and I have accepted that fact on many occasions. However, when the product proves to be of blatantly poor quality control and poses danger to the consumer than you darn well know, 1.) I will return it ASAP to Amazon and 2.) Review it appropriately so that other consumers don't get HURT by it. Summary: The plastic case side have ALL SHARP EDGES that protrude OUT from the case; SOOOO wherever you hold your iPad mini, it'll CUT into your skin. What...the...heck.... Comon CHINA!! If you're gonna make cheap, knockoff products at least your competitor has better QUALITY CONTROL!! Again, I admit I'm a cheap guy, but not SO CHEAP to where the product is going to hurt me every time I PICK UP my iPad mini, WORST YET, MY CHILD does (thank goodness he's too young to hold this). So, Look somewhere else, there's HUNDREDS of this type of cover sold EVERYWHERE!! Just find one that won't make you bleed when you hold it. :-(

I received the case yesterday and liked it. My mini, which is two months old was low on battery at bed time so I charged it. I unplugged it in the middle of the night at 100%. When I opened the case to use it at noon it was at 75% charged, with no use this morning. I believe it has something to do with the magnetic face which turns the mini on and off, like a fridge light. It continued losing power faster than usual while I looked at it. I don't know what caused the power loss but I'm ditching this China made JETech cover.
