I’ll start with the wrong model table saw was delivered while I was in the hospital and my son started to assemble the saw. The mistake was not caught until I went to register the saw I discovered it was an obsolete model. I had already paid an electrician to wire the wire to wire a power cord to the saw. I called Amazon customer support and they were amazing! They had the correct table saw shipped that day, arranged for the delivery company to pick up and repackage the other table saw, and refunded my electricians fee for wiring. That’s service! The table saw is replacing my 15 year old contractors table saw and this Jet table saw is a dream. The fence is accurate once you get it adjusted correctly and the blade was already set dead on accurate. The saw has more than enough power to cut through the various types of exotic hard woods I use. I do small projects so I do not have a need for the bigger work surface. Style: 30" Rip Fence
It took about 3 hours to assemble and no issues doing it alone. It is surprisingly quiet when on. I installed a 24-tooth dull rip saw blade and starting cutting 2x pine lumber and it cut it with no issues. Much better than my Bosch table saw. The saw is wider than I expected, but it should not be an issue (of course, it's a 30" rip fence). When ripping the stock I thought the dust collection would be better, but I was wrong, hence the 4-star review. It produced a fair amount of dust in the air and on the saw itself. I'm using a Jet 2HP Cyclone for dust collection. I also tested a 40-tooth blade with 1/2" stock and it did a good job on the duct collection. I'm guessing because I was using a 24-tooth blade it will product a lot of dust and there probably is not a saw out there that can get all the dust. The anti-kickback blade only uses gravity to keep the stock from shooting back at you and my Bosch was spring loaded (which is much better). I was able to slide the stock in reverse when off and this is not good. Another reason for only 4 stars. My Bosch kickback was way better. So use caution (as you should regardless) when pushing stock thru the saw. The fence seems good, but I've not used enough to make a solid review on it. Overall I'm pretty happy with this saw and I'm glad I purchased it. I can live with the minor issues. I had to purchase about 10 feet for SJOOW wire (3-wire) and the 3-plug connector. ... show more
