Very nice! Using basically as a checked tackle box for flying. My 4 piece travel rods, reels, tackle... of course some clothing and flip flops... Great case, If flying (50lb checked bag limit) it could be easy to get over wieght, plenty of room for plenty of stuff. I used a a scale and came in 48lbs with everything I needed... I loved the design of this trunk. I was originally looking for the 28 inch, but the 28 inch was not available in red, and was also not on sale, so I went for the 30 inch. It was only 2 inches longer, not much of a difference. The red was on sale for $149.00 which was less than the 28" inch model. It is not wide, but long, more rectangular in shape like a military trunk. I was hoping to find it in yellow, but they do not make a yellow version. The trunk can be seen anywhere on the conveyor belt at the airport. It is made of hard plastic, not aluminum. The zippers on the outside of the trunk have small holes where you can use a small padlock. There are several zippered pockets on the inside that allow you to separate the top and bottom compartments. It's better to use both rather than stuffing the bottom compartment. The pockets are not made of a strong material, but might last, if treated with care. In the last 2 years, I have purchased plastic zippered clothing bags from Amazon, which I use for travel. They help keep your clothes more organized. In addition, I made use of all the zippered compartments on the inside of the luggage. Man, the trunk took a beating the first day out in the field. By the field, I mean combat duty at the airport. This is where most of the damage to your luggage will occur. It came out of the carousel with scratch marks all over it. I had put black tape around the edges and bottom of the trunk where I knew it would be exposed to damage. I had to use DW 40 to get rid of most of the black scratches and marks. They sell pads that are used for removing scratches from automobiles, maybe I will give that a shot and see if it will remove some of the remaining permanent scratches. Overall, I was pleased with the purchase. The sale price at $149.00 for a 30 inch was a plus. If it was available in yellow, and made of aluminum, even better. ... show more

We got this to go to the UK with this summer. It is super durable and honestly it didn't come back dented or anything. Rolls really well and we can fit both mine and my husband's clothing in it perfectly with room to spare.
