This was a compatible fit and generates enough voltage to power acessories and keep battery full. The smaller connectors on the lower side didn't go straight on, but had to be bent a bit to fit, but it worked. I am happy with this part. Seems very robust!

The alternator experienced a bearing failure 1 year and 3 months after the purchase date and makes a horrible screech. This is a product which should last 10 years, not be a yearly maintenance item. The quality control is clearly very poor and I would not recommend purchasing from this manufacturer.

I bought to install on my 97 ZJ 4.0. It works, but the fitment was a bit off on the back cove (the thin stamped part, not the cast part) It was easy enough to modify to fit, but if you're not comfortable with that kind of thing maybe stay away. Not sure if this is an issue exclusive to the ZJ.
