These snow and sand molds are a lot of fun for summer and winter play. They help you make bricks to make build creations in the sand or snow. We have had a lot of fun with them. I haven't seen this size in the local stores, so it's a great find.

One broken in shipping it seems. I'll start with the only disadvantage I can tell from these is that besides they're pretty darn small size the plastic is very thin on them and I could see it breaking in icier type snow or very cold conditions if you're rough with them. Even though it would take a long time to build a wall or Igloo with these they still are pretty easy to use for the kids and they do have fun with them. There are more kids sized than adult sized. You can kind of use two at a time and scoop snow towards each other while packing it in. Snow kind of gets stuck inside of them, but in the right conditions they work well.

I wanted to get these to help build a snow fort or a sand castle. These are large enough that they can easily create large bricks, a little larger than I thought it turned out. With packed snow, my child can use this, but with wet sand it is too heavy. The opening is wide enough that small shovels can easily be used to load and stamp to pack. The plastic has not cracked or broken in cold temperatures even with a good amount of use by a young child. The edges came sharper than I expected and I had to file them down to be comfortable letting my child use them. One of them poked my hand hard enough that I thought it might open but I lucked out.
