  • Worth the Extra $$$
Size: Single Bee House
This thing is AWESOME. There are cheaper bee hotels out there. But this one is cute, VERY sturdy, and best of all, comes with a great little step by step slick sheet that provides a simple "how to" for people who have never tried this before. And on the flip side, a bunch of fun unique facts about Mason bees. I got this because I noticed some bees were trying to nest in my patio furniture, and I wanted to give them an alternative. I mounted it -SUPER easy - right next to the patio furniture and the bees started moving in that same day. Having never thought about helping Mason bees proliferate I would not have known that I should remove the cocoons with the larvae in the fall and keep them in the fridge over winter ,then just put them outside in the spring - but thanks to the handy slick sheet, this is what I will do. These little guys are even more beneficial to the ecosystem as pollinators than honey bees but again, I only know that because of the cool facts that come with this little bee hotel. Great purchase - feel like I'm helping bees (and my patio furniture) and im actually looking forward to "harvesting" bee cocoons this fall! ... show more

  • Very sturdy and attractive.
Size: Single Bee House
Very nice looking. A little on the heavy side. it is now mounted on a fence post in my allotment so fingers crossed that the bees make use of it.

  • good material and good customer service

REVIEW UPDATE JULY /10/2020: The new wood beds arrived fast and I would recomend the peoduct!! REVIEW UPDATE JUN/25/2020: They responded fast and will send another set of wood beds. 1st REVIEW: Some holes were made small and I don't expect that from a product that is not cheap, the double bee house has 16 wooden beds and 5 of them have small hallways. They use good materials, but do not have good standards in the construction of the product. I hope they improve. ... show more

  • The best mason bee house I have ever run across.
Size: Double Bee House
This is a really good house. I like the "attic", where you can put the baby bees to "hatch" in spring. The only thing I can fault is the way the roof is put on. The screws are "sunk in," which is a good technique. But I worry about water collecting in those tiny wells, and causing rot. So I ordered some silicone sealer to fill them in....no big deal. Very pretty house. ... show more

  • Bee
Size: Single Bee House
Nice but the carpenter bees still make holes in my cedar which I attached the house to hoping they would like the house more.

  • Great quality, great price, great features
Size: Double Bee House
This thing is build like a tank. It was super easy to mount, and I LOVE the little details on the house. After buying the Mason bee house from JCs Wildlife, I went ahead and bought a hummingbird house, two feeders, a bluebird house, and a chickadee house. The quality and price of all of these products is really, really impressive. I think these guys will last as long as I need them to. The polylumber sees like it will last forever. ... show more

  • Excellent Product but Expensive
Size: Single Bee House
One of the most expensive mason bee houses you can find. However it is well built and appears to be very durable. I subsequently found the same or similar product at a big box store for half the price.

  • Moved in immediately!
Size: Double Bee House
I noticed mason bees coming and going from holes in the brick masonry on my front porch. I bought this and placed it next to one of their holes... they moved in that day!! I'm so pleased, and I'm ordering more of these houses for them. I will comment that this house may be difficult to manage for some people if you have weak arms. It is VERY solidly built, but that also makes it heavy. ... show more
