I previously owned a pair of cheap knock-off brand earbuds. I liked them until one broke, so bought this as a replacement hoping a name brand pair will be higher quality. These earbuds are a huge improvement from the knock-off brand! I listen to podcasts primarily and was surprised to hear bass during the intro song to an episode. I hadn't heard it before with my old buds. The speakers' voices are clear and have a richness to them almost as good as speaking in person. Another difference I noticed is that clapping did not hurt my ears with this pair of earbuds; the old ones did. Battery life is not great. Each earbud typically gives the 20% battery warning after 3.5 hours of use and turns off between 4-5 hours. Thankfully they can be used one at a time, so I use one in the right ear then switch to the left ear to be able to listen during a full 8 hour shift of work. The silicone tips in the earbuds did not fit well for me until I switched to a different size. The smallest size tips feel great and stay in easily. I don't really like the button for pausing. It's not terribly hard to press, but I have a hard time finding it without taking the earbud out of my ear.

These are a typically great JBL product at their price point; the sound quality is very good for a value earbud. I find there to be an appropriate balance of treble/mids/bass out of the box, and I think that the highs are super crisp and bass can really boom. I find that they fit and seal well to stay snug in place and provide great passive noise-cancellation to block ambient sound. They're a little large, but I don't wear them for fashion, and I'm guessing the size helps with sound quality and power, as well as battery capacity. The battery life is very good, and it recharges quickly. I also personally prefer the hard button on the buds rather than a touch button. Overall, I really like these, especially having gotten them on a half off sale. However, I have 3 surprising issues with them I wish I'd known before buying... Lack of volume control, no incompatibility with the JBL app, and the case size/lack of lid. First, the buttons on the earbuds can't control volume, which makes absolutely no sense. Other JBL and earbud products allow volume control on one earbud and playback control on the other. These have the exact same functions on both left and right, which seems like a wasted opportunity. Also, that means the volume is entirely dependent on the source/playback device, and if the output from there is too loud/quiet for your preference, well.... you're stuck. With my phone, these earbuds were VERY loud even on the lowest volume setting possible. NOTE: I have a Samsung Galaxy (Gen 8), so I was able to go in and mess with the stock Samsung equalizer (Sound Settings > Advanced Sound Settings > Sound Quality and Effects) to turn the decibel levels way down and make them usable in all ambient settings. I was unsurprisingly unable to do this on my iPhone 11, though, as its Music EQ is very basic.... Android wins again! Regardless, I've read other customers have the same but opposite issue, where the earbuds are too quiet on the highest volume setting. Avoidable and frustrating, but potentially a work around for some.... The second problem is that there's no compatibility with the JBL app, which means you can't customize the EQ sound profile on less funtional playing devices (ahem, iPhone...) like you can with most newer JBL headphones, nor adjust the volume further, which is a feature I'd really appreciated with other JBL products. Lastly, a small thing: I find the charging case to be unnecessarily large and its lack of a lid a little unsettling. If the size means the charging capacity is greater, then that's fine, and the magnet is very strong and seems to hold them in well enough upside down and even when shaken violently, but the case is bigger than I want for pants pockets and I can see the earbuds being knocked loose and falling out in a bag/purse with other items. In all, a solid buy, but there may be a newer version or another JBL product with similar sound/quality that have earbud volume control, app compatibility, and a better/smaller case that'd be preferable.

I am really surprised at how amazing these earbuds really are. I have gone through about 10-15 pairs and I still have most of them and they are all missing one earbud. I love the different sizes of tips you have to choose from and to make them fit perfectly for you! I have dropped them many times with no damage whatsoever. I highly recommend these JBL Bluetooth ear buds. I have run into one teensy problem. I have nerve damage in my lower back and legs and take medication for it. My hands have tremors thus making me a klutz. I drop my earbuds very frequently and always at least one of them flys in many different directions and I keep 3 or 4 other earbuds of various types around all the time as backups for when I drop them but I found a kool purple case made just for these earbuds. Now I just have to be very careful putting them in it or taking them out of the case as not to drop them. I guess GOD intends for me to have these because sometimes I go a week and sometimes longer without them until my wife or my mother finds the missing one. But we always find them. I am considering purchasing another pair just in case my luck runs out one day, I will have a backup of my favorite ones. They are still my favorite and I use them every day and night because I listen to Meditation Audios every night and audiobooks during the day except when driving, when I only have one in because they block out all other sound which is what makes them so good for meditation. If you buy these with or without the case, you will most certainly not regret your purchase. Sincerely, Big Daddy Sauceman

All in all I'm not disappointed in purchasing these and I'm not going to tell you to not buy them but just know you kind of get what you pay for The fitment though I know it's subjective at least in my case is not very comfortable especially in my left ear they feel rather sharp like they're cutting into my ears. The volume isn't very loud probably loud enough for most people but I like my music a little louder these are not audio file headphones but they are kind of fun to listen to they've got the bog standard Bluetooth headphones equalizer setup heavy base The mids are toned down quite a bit and enough treble. Bottom line they work fine for activities like mowing the lawn waiting for a bus to arrive or canceling out loud noise during demo work I've actually used them as earplugs a couple of times they're not waterproof. Dropping them more than not ends up with one of the headphones flying across the floor as there is no lid on the case I get it it's part of the design but it's a little annoying I find that the case will only charge them about 1 and 1/2 times before the case is dead which can be a little annoying as well I do like the type c charger port on the case but other than that they're pretty much the bog standard cheap earbuds we've all come to know. One final thing again this might just be my weird ears but they don't seem to stay in very well especially the left ear.

These are amazing earbuds, especially for the price. The sound quality is excellent. I mostly use them to listen to audiobooks, but they have a great bass and sound for music, too. They stay charged forever and the way they magnetically click into the charging base is so satisfying. I only wish they came with a way of tracking down lost ones. My first pair somehow ended up in the infinite void where socks and Tupperware lids end up (I suspect my 4 year old was involved). I loved them enough to buy another pair after a few months of mourning (and hoping they would miraculously turn up). Unfortunately, the new pair lasted only 1 day until my 2 year old went out of his way to reach them from the counter I put them on and fed one to my Boston Terrier. The other he put under the couch, but he led me right too it when I saw the empty base and my heart dropped. Luckily he (neither the 2 year old nor the dog) did not swallow it, but, alas, it was destroyed. Can confirm they do continue to work when only one earbud is left. Wish I didn’t know that, but if you happen to be an unlucky person like myself, with apparently earbud-vengeful children and pets, this information may be helpful to you.
