I absolutely LOVE this speaker! I got it for my office so I don't have to sit in silence for 8 hours a day; I stream all my favorite music on it all day everyday. It sounds SO AMAZING, perfect amount of base and I love the size, the looks of it, and it's very sturdy and not cheaply made. nice and portable. charge lasts for a time. how long? I don't know. long enough for me to forget to charge it and find it's still got some juice left. I think I got it refurbished. sound is ok. lower bass is lacking but everything else is pretty well balanced (and that's coming from me who likes to crank the lower high-frequency range up at every opportunity), which is a bogey for the course for a speaker you can hold in the palm of your hand. it's normal, but that doesn't mean I like it. normal people probably won't care. I am far from normal. I bought an EQ adjuster for android so I could neurotically change any frequency I wanted in any music player I wanted to match my given mood for the day. would probably buy again if I found one on sale ... show more

The connection has been great and the sound was solid. Once connected via Bluetooth, you can control the volume from either the device or the speaker. Connection has been great: I had my iPad in the bedroom and brought this JBL to the shower room, about 10 feet away with one door closed, and the JBL speaker played with no issue. Once in the shower room, boy oh boy, doesn’t it echo! In a good way. The Bluetooth connection has not dropped on me so far, and whatever I listened to played smoothly and fluently without skips or drops. Another thing I wanted to praise this product for is the packaging. I’ve purchased many electronics on Amazon and received them in bad packagings: some looked like someone had opened it before, and some had just one plastic bag wrap and then shoved into a thin-layer box with no brand name on the packaging. Yet, this JBL speaker, although small, was so meticulously and securely packed. Not only did I feel confident about the quality of the product - the speaker was not bouncing around and damaged during transportation, but I also felt like being respected as a customer - that I deserved a well-packed and well-presented product. Anyhow, what I wanted to say was that: the packaging alone wowed me and gained a great first impression from me for the product and the brand. Love it. A great buy for me. ... show more
