Before I bought these headphones, I wore a pair of JBLs I bought on sale for $35 (I believe they were $135 normally). Those headphones were made of high quality materials, and it was the very first pair of headphones I had owned that had a replacable AUX cable, even though it wasn't wireless. That pair of headphones went through hell and back. I even dropped them in a fryer filter full of oil at some point, and they proceeded to work for years after! Eventually, those were just too worn to save, so I found these on sale for I believe $85 or so. The sound quality was slightly better, emphasizing the fact that it's "true to life" rather than pumping extra unnecessary bass into your music. The materials were... maybe not as amazing as my old pair. It felt like there was less metal and more plastic binding things together, although I enjoyed the extra soft padding that felt like might last a while. To top it off, it's my first pair of bluetooth headphones (Yeah, crazy considering it's 2020 right?) but it still manages to keep a detachable AUX cable just in case you need it. Nice! And my worry of the batteries dying quickly was simply not the case here. I needed these to listen to music for several hours a day and they did just that! Unfortunately, they didn't last too long after they managed to slip off while working. It hit the ground and ear muff popped off. Turns out... the ear muff and the speaker are one in the same! So the speaker literally popped out of my headset, whereas every other pair I've ever owned might have gotten away with a scratch and been just fine. It worked for a little bit anyways, as the wiring was still attached. But not for very long. I guess what there is to take from here is that I used to rave about JBL being a high quality brand for a reasonable price anyone can afford, but although the sound quality has slightly improved over the last several years, maybe not so much the build quality. This might be fine for normal usage, but as a very active person who is constantly moving around and bending over to lift things at work, I need something sturdy. Would I recommend these to someone? Yes, but maybe not at full price. They still did exactly what they were meant to do, but they just weren't for me.

Tried these on at a chain store and found them to be OUTSTANDING for sound quality. I didn't concern myself at the time with build quality or battery longevity. Decided to order them on Amazon for half the price as a "Like New". Primarily purchased to use on long flights (6+ hours) and have done so only once but also only by using the provided cord. Sound was incredible while attached to my phone watching a live football game provided by the airline's wifi. At that point, I knew it was worth the $50 some odd dollars. I've also used them around the house via Bluetooth to jam to some AC/DC classics, songs I've listened to for 35 years and was unequivocally able to discern more notes and hear clearer lyrics than I ever have before. What I thought I heard in the chain store was true... Phenomenal. The problem I've had over the years with ALL my headphones has been the earpiece covering deteriorating after a couple of years with only mild usage. 10 times used per year max. Maybe I'm not storing them correctly or wiping off the perspiration when I'm finished using them (though I've never seen this suggested or recommended. All that to say, truly incredible sound. Buy them at a price you can afford based on the possibility of the earcups coming apart within a couple of years (which obviously I cannot attest to on this particular pair)... MAKE SURE IT'S THIS EXACT MODEL, BECAUSE OTHERS WITH A SIMILAR NUMBER WEREN'T EVEN CLOSE TO SOUNDING LIKE THIS!

I bought this JBL headphone 4 years ago for $100. The sound quality is great for the price. One major drawback of this headphone is the sound of its moving parts overtime. The hinges in particular grind against each other with the slightest head movement. The rubbing of parts had made the listening experience a lot worse. I have to keep my head and neck perfectly still or else the hinges would grind. This is the first headphone I bought and it discourages me from buying a headphone with rotatable parts again

If you are taking a long trip, they tie into the plane's system with the cord. They're comfortable and great for muffling the noise around.

These headphones have a very premium feel and are snug even in gym sessions which is the primary usage aside around the house. Soft spongy ear cups compliment the feel in long durations. The sound quality is punchy and yet very refined. From an aesthetic point of view , it it is however a protruding "cuppy" design meaning it will be hard in some machines in the gym that require shoulder/neck and head padding since the width of these are wider than normal ones do expect this to be a drawback. At home this is not an issue but on gym environments it really lends itself to having to take them off. It has some noise blocking ability and does well enough to block surrounding noise. Battery life is great I normally never hear the charging chime from it but because it is my secondary bluetooth headphone, it rarely has this issue. However as a primary it can hold itself well.
