  • Price is good. Can probably make my own next time though.
Color: black
These are a lot of fun to use on my cymbals and effects percussion instruments. Really dig the sound it lets my 10 inch snare pop off with.

  • They last
Color: black
A tight wrap of good quality electrical tape on the bottom of the 3" plastic sleeve will keep it in place where you want it. The bamboo in these seems to hold up better than other brands I've used.

  • Good enough for any gig.
Color: black
Just the facts: They're cheaper than Hot Rods. They feel nearly the same. Yes, the rubber band/jacket slides around - you're a drummer - improvise! It would be great if they offered a thicker dowel to increase mass, but for now these will do just fine. I will definitely purchase again.

  • They are sturdy and don’t fall apart
Color: black
These sticks are sturdy and haven’t fallen apart after several gigs, unlike the last 2 cheap pairs. Will likely buy again.

  • amazingly good, and half the price…
Color: black
This is following up my previous review: As I and others have discovered, the black plastic binder does want to slip off. Also as others have stated, they sound good and seem to hold up better. My solution was a bead of clear silicone under the edge of the band. Manufacturers should note this flaw and use better quality shrink wrap. ... show more

  • Good sound, good feel, but tape comes loose quickly
Color: black
These are just as good as the Pro-Marks or Vic Firth's, but the tape tac seems weak. I play light, but after a few sessions, the tape has lost its tack. The wood has been holding up though. I will buy more to see if this is consistent because I can get my own tape.

  • Is the savings real?
Color: black
During the first song I ever played with these, not hitting hard as I am in a condo, the ring flew off. Sure...it's just the ring, right? WRONG! The ring keeps the bamboo from splitting so easily. It is more important than people think and it should never have fallen off. If i was playing speed metal, the rings should never come off. I have been using Vic Firth Rute bamboo sticks at $20 a pair or so. These are a bit heavier and the grip area is thinner in the palm of your hand. I bought these because I am broke and needed a second pair and these were less than half the cost of Rutes. I have played ONE song with them and I am already complaining. Take that for what you will. I will not say they are not worth 8 mor 10 bucks, because they are. Just expect slightly less quality than you get from Vic Firth, Pro Mark or even Vater. ... show more

Color: black
I absolutely love these bamboo sticks. They sound great on my cajon, my drum set, etc. Totally recommend them!
