Two years ago I decided to start over with a new rose garden. We have clay soil, and it can be a chore to dig through. Digging holes for 50+ roses is pretty strenuous. Two places where I wanted to plant felt like someone cleaned out the cement mixer there, and the shovel didn't make much progress. The only augers we had were very small, so I ordered these to help with loosening the soil for the rose bushes and for planting bulbs. These got the job done. A word of caution: I generally don't use power drills, especially ones with a "jack hammer" setting. If, like me, you don't have experience with power drills and augers, and your tools of choice are spatulas and knitting needles, get someone to show you how to use this tool properly ... show more

I had a fast turn around for a medium size landscaping project and used these two bits to speed through the work. Cuts thru roots, dirt, moves rocks and pulls up the dirt for easy planing. Easy, easy, easy. Mega love it. Just be careful with your wrist if you are using a powerful drill. If hits a rock you can harm your wrist. So hold steady and enjoy this amazing tool.
