    • Tricky assembly, only legs are real wood
I received these 4 days later than the original projected delivery date and got only a luke warm apology from the company for it. The instructions for assembly are clear and easy to understand. Even better is that the parts are all separated into labeled sleeves so you open only those needed for the specific step you are on. Only the legs are made real wood. All the other pieces are made of compressed sawdust or possibly compressed cardboard so I think if you make a mistake in driving the screws, you won't be able to simply back it out and re-drive it because the material may not hold. The tricky part is in putting the drawers together. The back piece is thinner than the length of the screws so you could drive the screw through it if you go in at an angle. For me it worked best to have someone hold the sides while I screwed them partially onto the back piece. This way I could see I was really hitting the pre-drilled holes and drive the screw straight. I drove the screws most of the way in but not all the way. Then I also had someone hold the front piece as I attached it. Once all four sides were attached then I took turns driving the screws in the rest of the way while making sure the drawer's bottom seated correctly. These nightstands are sturdy and serve thier purpose but they aren't as cute as they look on the website. The difference in tone between the legs and the drawer base is jarring. ... show more

Took around an hour to assemble. Sturdy and exactly what I expected. I didn’t end up using the one plastic piece that goes on the inside top to hold the drawer in place when opened because it made it so I couldn’t push the drawers in- simple fix was just to unscrew that small plastic piece and the drawers slid in fine. The side rails for the drawers did not allow the drawers to close. And the pre-drilled holes for the drawers did not line up. If you have a drill and aren't afraid of re-drilling some screw holes and moving the plastic side rails, then this piece will eventually go together. And once together, the tables look cute and somewhat stylish but still noticeably cheap. The wood look veneer is convincing from a foot or more away but up close, these look 100% plastic. They do the job in a guest bedroom where we have a decorating budget of basically nothing. I would have sent these back except for the low price. ... show more

This was a good buy! They add a pop of character to your space. Not sturdy but that is to be expected for the price! They are fairly easy to assemble, there is quite a bit of steps but in all it took about an hour to assemble both of them.
