I bought a suede pair of heels secondhand so I ordered this kit to try and clean them. The sponge was more like a rubber pencil eraser. Rubbing it over the shoes made a bit crumble like a used eraser too. It came off black though so hopefully it actually got some dirt. Doing this over a trashcan was good enough to keep clean. Then I took the brush all over the shoes, going back and forth quickly to get the sponge/erasing shavings off, and finally brushing the suede all in one direction when done. The brush wasn’t scratchy, it seemed gentle enough. I was able to clean it by just brushing it over a paper towel when I was done. Even though the eraser shed a bit there’s still a lot left so I think it will last multiple uses or if you have a lot to clean. I don’t buy suede usually so I wasn’t sure what to use, but this kit was easy enough. There wasn’t a dramatic difference in the shoes color, they weren’t in bad condition to start with, but it was a good buy for peace of mind that it’s clean.

Must Have for Light Color Suede Shoes
This is a must have for light colored suede shoes. Make color look like original after cleaning. I have a pair of Birkenstock pink suede clogs. I’d previously cleaned a scuff mark with another brand’s cleaning kit that has a stiffer brush. It took off too much nap and the patch now looks white. I got this brand to try given the softer brush. On the other shoe with new water stain, it cleaned off the splash stain and after brushing with this much soft brush, shoe color looks perfectly even, like original. I tried using this on the one I ruined with the white patch, unfortunately, no saving that one. Too much nap was taken off already.

Gentle cleaning that refreshes suede
I bought this kit to clean several suede sneakers and it has worked better than I expected. I used the eraser on a few scuffs and then brushed the nap back into place. My shoes look refreshed without the suede getting flattened or wrecked, which was my main concern. The brush is fairly aggressive, so I use a light touch instead of scrubbing hard. After several months I still have plenty of product left and the two-piece setup is easy to keep with my shoe supplies. It is a simple kit, but it has made routine sneaker cleanup much less stressful for me.

Must have for Birkenstocks.
Must have if you wear your Birkenstocks, UGGs, or suede/nubuck shoes a lot. It helps me clean up water/dirt stains and keeps my shoes looking clean.

Works ok?
Might just be my first time but for me it didn't clean the suede too well. Might be the type of stains I got or I'm just inexperienced but I'm not sure. It got rid of the easier stains but the deeper ones it barely made a difference.

Saved my shoes!
To be fair, this is the only suede cleaner I’ve ever used, so nothing to compare it with. That said, this worked! I’ve had these sandals for 3 or more years. Bare feet, sweat, dirt embedded into the shape of toes. Not attractive! Layers of shiny dirt compacting the suede. This product attacked layer after layer. I could probably get it even cleaner, but this is good enough for me. It worked just as well on my other 2 pairs on light suede and gray suede. Easy process, great value as I will be able to use it over and over. Barely rounded the corners on the eraser for 3 shoes. Will last a very long time. See photos for before/after.

Works pretty well
I have a new suede handbag. I got blue from a pair of jeans run onto it. This cleaner works like a magic rub eraser (which I tried first). It got almost all of the blue dye off. There is still a tinge near the stitching so only 4 stars
