This is a really nice quality traditional style futon. The otaku in me is thrilled, and the hostess in me is also very pleased with myself. The color, smell, softness of the fabric, thickness of the mattress, foldability, and size are all fantastic. Five stars. Took a nap on it after it aired out, wonderful! And I'm not a lightweight 🫡 I am very satisfied with the value of this product. Personal note: I'm currently using it as a mattress topper for my guest bedroom until I replace that mattress, but once I do I intend to keep this futon for extra guests, either on top of or in place of blow up beds (guest's preference). If I go glamping, this will absolutely be coming with.

I was very impressed with this Japanese floor mattress. It is surprisingly comfortable despite being thin, even for a side sleeper. It isn't as cushy as an American mattress would be, but it provides just enough support to alleviate pressure on your hips and shoulders if side sleeping. It works great for playing on the floor and tumbling practice as well for energetic kids. I got the Twin size and it is about the same size as a traditional American twin mattress. Plenty of room for a single person or a parent and small child to sleep comfortably. I found it easy to fold up when not in use, but I am hesitant about how long it will last if it is stored frequently as the mattress itself says it needs to be stored flat. I got this to replace sleeping bags for when guests come over or when my son wishes to sleep in the living room and it works well for that purpose, but I do plan to keep it stored rolled up most of the time and now I am a bit worried about longevity because of the label. Two straps are provided to keep it rolled up and the storage bag is easy enough to slide over everything, though it is a bit bulky. The twin mattress size when rolled up is 35" in height with a diameter of about 17", so it takes up a lot of room even when stored. I don't like that the case for it doesn't close all the way and leaves a sizable opening. If you are concerned about spiders living inside, this case will not alleviate those fears. The mattress comes with a soft polyester zipper cover to keep over the mattress. The cover is comfortable but it doesn't provide any protection against stains and spills for the mattress, so you will want to invest in a protector of some sort if you wish to keep your mattress fresh longer.

We recently got the Japanese Floor Mattress with the washable cover, and it's been a great addition for when guests stay over. It’s easy to unroll and set up, and everyone who’s used it so far has said it’s surprisingly comfortable — even for a few nights in a row. The memory foam layer gives it just enough support without feeling too firm, and the microfiber fabric makes it feel cozy and soft. I also really appreciate the extras it comes with — the washable cover keeps things clean, and the storage bag and straps make it super convenient to roll up and tuck away when not in use. It’s lightweight but doesn’t feel flimsy, and I love having a portable option that doesn’t take up a lot of space. Definitely a good buy for hosting guests! One thing to note is that it does arrive vacuum-packed, so it takes a couple of days to fully puff up. We laid it out in a warm room and by day two, it was good to go. If you’ve got limited space and need a comfy sleep solution that you can store easily, this mattress is a solid, practical choice.

Great comfy futon for kids. As a twin, it might be too short for an adult or someone older. For now, it's in one of the bunks in our travel trailer on top of the existing mattresses which are getting on with age. Not sure if it'll be too hot for our camping trips in Eastern WA. But for now - it's definitely more comfy. This is a well made futon, good stitching and comes with a cover.

This sleeping pad is decent, and comes with a plastic bag to store it in, which is handy. It's a nice item to have around for guests, but I was really hoping it would fold up a lot smaller, so I can store it in my closet without taking up too much room. The sleeping pad itself unfolds easily and is pretty comfortable on top of a sofa, or even on the floor. I just wished it folded up a lot smaller, so I could put it in my closet in my small apartment.
