  • Thank you, Mr. Bond
(Spoilers will be included here) Daniel Craig had a rocky road as Bond many would say. Mixed reactions between films, a long tenure, and horrible delays by the end. For me he had a great road with one block. Casino Royale needs nothing new to say, it’s a fantastic Bond adventure with little to no issues. Bond is great, Vesper is fantastic, Le chiffre is very threatening, The music, story, set pieces, an early/younger Bond, and much more to praise. My praise is interesting when it comes to Quantum of Solace because I really enjoy the movie. As an immediate follow up to CR with a very angry and betrayed Bond, it works very well for me. I enjoy the plot, the villain, the side characters, angry Bond, and much more as well. My main complaint was it had that late 2000’s Quick cut hand to hand combat scenes that ruin sections of films like this, Batman Begins, Winter Soldier, and many more. Thankfully by the end of the film I can mostly see everything they do though. I love the defeat of the villain the most as well, Greene was such a clever fool and to see his conquest be his end was a true classic defeat of a Bond villain. I remember not liking the film at all putting down by a View to a kill at my second least favorite Bond adventure but now it’s up in the top twenty/fifteen. Skyfall is an excellent time! While I wish we spent more time with Craig’s Bond before he was the out of date MI6 agent they say he is. Besides Blood Stone and Goldeneyes non cannon cash grab remake, we have nothing else in between. Skyfall is a jump to a very heavy plot but thankfully it’s a very good one. Silva is one of my favorite Bond villains, Craig continues to do great as Bond, and finally M has the most to do out of her tenure. My only dislike from the film is how Silva meets his end. Basically everything else was very great. I have really nothing to say about Spectre as I really don’t like it. Besides the Train sequence, the DB10, and Craig himself I really didn’t like the movie! Thankfully No time to Die takes everything I disliked about Spectre and fixed it, No time to Die did break my heart and it has its issues but I think it’s a good way to end the series for Craig. I do believe the main man Silva should’ve been the one to get the job done if that was possible in alternative reality but as it stands it’s a good movie, great action, great characters, and my god it’s an emotional ride! Plenty of references to the past, plenty of goodbyes, and many many many great sequences. I do wish Rami as Dr No. (yes that’s what he is to me) had more time to grow and make more sense, I do like the fact that basically the original Bond film got the last laugh against 007. However as I said before, it should’ve been Silva! Anyway with the long yet short reviews out of the way, I’m very glad this era of Bond exists as to finally give the character a real linear take but next time I’d like to go back to normal. I do like his Bond adventures but as a whole I’d say it pops in at my third or fourth favorite Era of Bond ... show more

  • Great Bargain and Beautiful Presentation
I recently purchased a wall-mounted large screen television with a 7-channel sound bar, and I was looking for 4K UHD film titles to enjoy. I had all of these Daniel Craig Bond movies on Blu-ray, but I especially wanted to upgrade NO TIME TO DIE. Searching for the title, I found this set … and buying all five titles definitely reduced the cost of buying them individually. Well, I hadn’t been a particular fan of QUANTUM OF SOLACE and SPECTRE, but seeing them in such a vivid display with enhanced audio significantly boosted my enjoyment. All films were enhanced, with CASINO ROYALE and NO TIME TO DIE being undeniable gems. For film collectors pondering whether or not to upgrade these titles from Blu-ray, I would say, “Do not hesitate.” ... show more

  • Easy way to complete the James Bond Collection in sets!
Cost-effective, and easy to complete the James Bond Collection! As with the other J.B. Actors, Daniel Craig was an impressive choice. They have not scaled down in the action, suspense, and the tech. The stunts are also great! There seems to be a lot of changes happening to J.B. however, that do worry me! Rumors are that "Woke" might ruin J.B., if true, this will be the last J.B. I will buy! ... show more

  • Brilliant!!!
I thought I would never see anyone play James Bond better than Sean Connery.. but Daniel Craig played the hell out of him... 😉

  • Poor digital offering. Great 4K Discs
I was quite disappointed to find that the digital code included in the collection is only redeemable on Vudu. I would have expected to be able to redeem it at any number of digital distributors, such as Movies Anywhere or iTunes. This is the primary reason for my low number of stars. Of the 4K discs, I’ve only watched Casino Royale so far. The picture and sound is crisp and really shines during some of the more intense scenes of the film. That alone is makes this still a good overall purchase. ... show more

  • Exactly what I wanted, great buy
Haven't watched them yet so I'm assuming they all work at this time. Only thing keeping it from a 5 star is the 2nd DVD holder in the case is broken so the DVD isn't secure. Case was damage free (other than interior damage) so was the box. Other than that one thing it's a great buy, loved seeing these over the years and happy to have physical copies now. ... show more
