I was very concerned, based upon some of the reviews, that if I ordered this, it would arrive beat to death from shipping damage. That was not the case here. First, this is a heavy cabinet. Particularly when compared to competitors who use a thinner gauge steel. This 36" X 78" unit is over 400 lb, which perfectly illustrates their use of 14-gauge steel. Everything is welded, most importantly so are the piano hinges for the doors. We have a fire cabinet that is a competitor to Jamco whose doors are sagging because the cheap rivets are stretched. And that unit is more expensive than Jamco's similarly sized fire cabinet. Even the door latch uses screws and nuts, rather than rivets as mounting fixtures. The cabinet comes with a stated 122 bins. I haven't counted but I would say it is more than that as we received extra's. The bins come in boxes or per case, so I suspect that is why I have extras. In our situation, we haven't even added all of them as we do not currently have the need. Back to the shipping aspect, the cabinet arrived on a relatively small pallet and was secure. There was no damage from shipping, thankfully. We had access to a forklift which helped greatly. However, the forklift would not fit into the building so a large dolly was required. There were two of us maneuvering this and both of our backs are sore. Something to be mindful of - or at least plan ahead! The paint finish is very good, and it cleans up relatively easily. I do recommend taking a damp cloth and wiping down the inside and out. It will need it. Do I have any negatives? Yes, a few minor ones, I suppose. The latching mechanism is functional, but it feels cheap. And when closed, the doors are not fully secure or closed and there is a level of 'give' where you can push the doors fully closed but they will come ajar (less than a quarter of an inch or so) when you stop pushing against the doors. It may be something I can adjust or modify. The same holds true for finding a better latch. It's a common design. The addition of adjustable or leveling feet would be handy. We resorted to a piece of cardboard. The cabinet is not the culprit here; our floor was just not completely level where we put the cabinet. However, and this is the best part; From my extensive search you will not find a better-quality cabinet that is made from superior materials at this price point. You just won't. As noted, it is cheaper in price than some of the more common name brands and it is far superior to them in every way. We are extremely pleased with this purchase and the delivery. ... show more

I was astounded by the top notch construction of the cabinet. It could be a gun safe. Built like a tank. Works great for nuts and bolts along with pvc fittings and everything else I throw at it. I am considering a second one for secure storage for ammo.. Tim V

this is massive! and take note about 600LBS! Great storage comes with extras of each of the larger bins so you can get the space filled that you need. Only complaint so far that I have with this item is that the shipper gives very little detail as to when they will arrive with your cabinet. We were actually out of town at a dinner when they called wondering where to drop it, at that point we had not looked at the weight! We had to get help the next day to get the cabinet inside our garage, where we could have been prepared and waiting if the shipper had called like the delivery notifications say they will. ... show more

Decent construction coming from someone in the steel fabrication industry, arrived very damaged due to clearly the shipping company driving a forklift or other pallets into it. Shipper could have sent it back but they just delivered it damaged when no one was around and tried to say it was signed for. Not the seller's fault although it's not like I could choose the shipper, so maybe they will package it better, so this doesn't happen to someone else or choose better shippers. ... show more

Only giving it 1 less start because of shipping Great product! The boxes I was surprised the size. I still needed to buy boxes I needed extra but the quality it’s looks big as my 7 feet long one.
