  • This thing is 'buy it for life'...If you want a good gas can, it's worth every penny...
Haven't even put any gas in this can yet, but first impression is that this is the gas can I've been looking for all my life. Heavy, thick body (6-layer construction per manufacturer description), very sturdy fill cap, dispensing spout is flexible and durable, fuel-dispensing valve is handy and easy to operate right on top of the can. Molded carry handle on top and two on the bottom for tipping/carrying/maneuvering all seem and feel great and functional. All construction seems top-notch, and as long as this thing doesn't leak (which I can't imagine will happen given the way this thing is built) it's the best value gas can you can get for the money nowadays. (There are much more expensive options out there.) I simulated a gas fill on my John Deere lawn tractor and on my Polaris ATV, and it's so much better than the tip-and-pour gas cans I've had all my life, (spilling, slopping gas around, dripping on the garage floor, holding the heavy can the whole time) that I almost had an orgasm. (I'm not insane, I just act like it on Amazon reviews for the public's benefit.) Set this thing on the fender, tank, seat, wherever is sort of flat and level, let the machine you're fueling support the can's weight, push the valve handle, and you're filling your tank, baby. Easiest thing in the world, compared to normal gas cans. Made in USA, parts available if you ever need them, one-year warranty, and I fully expect this gas can to last me the rest of my life. My grandson will probably fill his lawn mower with this thing 40 years from now, and I'm not kidding. I use one of my dad's old steel gas cans that's at least that old. This thing is a much better design, and at least as well-made as the old stuff, even if it is "plastic". Will only be filling the ATV for snow plowing until spring, so hopefully I don't use it much until the lawn starts growing again (depending on Mother Nature and her whims), but I already put it on my Google calendar to order a second one in the spring, and I'll retire all my other gas cans then. Maybe use em for target practice. ... show more

  • It pours!
Material Type: Plastic
I recently needed a new 5 gallon gas can and this one works like a gas can should! This is sealed tightly as required now. Put when you pull the trigger it vents and gas can flow freely un like the can I purchased first. The other brand I bought locally only trickled out and had to keep tipping it to vent. That one went in the trash and got this one as a replacement. Very glad I did. This one works like a gas can should. You fill it and pour it into your mower, tractor, what ever quickly and easily! No trickle, no needing constant tipping, no spilling, IT SIMPLY WORKS!!!! ... show more

  • 👍👍👍FINALLY A GAS CAN THATS HARD TO SPILL👍👍👍
Material Type: Plastic
👍👍👍I've always hated gas cans since no matter how hard I tried, I almost always spilled some from the dumb way typical gas containers were made but NOT ANYMORE! YES this is on the expensive side but it's worth it for ease of use, ease of filling it up at pumps and best of all NO SPILLAGE and NO LIFTING AND POURING ANYMORE! Just use the well designed hose and gravity allows pouring without spills and it's also nice to get 5 gallons each time for keeping on hand for mower. MUST HAVE FOR EVERYONE IMHO! WELL DESIGNED, THANKS TO MANUFACTURER!👍👍👍 ... show more

  • My favorite gas container by far! So easy to use.
Material Type: Plastic
This gas container is so well designed and thought out, with thick plastic; a true engineering gift for anyone who uses portable fuel tanks. Other versions cause frustration getting the entry cap screwed on or off, but this one is easy, every time. Filling it at the gas station is safe as it has a splash guard on the entry to keep splashes away. He best part is using that wonderful side hose that swivels to enter whatever you are filling up (lawn mower, generator). I steady it on top of the equipment, lower the hose into position, with its screw on cap removed, and depress the safety handle. Fuel comes out quickly and quietly. I will be replacing my other 5 gallon fuel container with this brand. ... show more

  • Nice looking.......BUT....
Material Type: Plastic
when I first saw the gas can, I was thrilled with the design and the practicality. Then a few things caught my attention. When I first picked it up, I heard a little bit of a rattling sound. I couldn’t imagine what it was. I had to get around the gas cap filling area with its automatic safety catch the cannot be disengaged as able to finally force it open. Then I turned it upside down. A little piece of plastic that was the result of drilling into the can itself was left inside. This tells me the manufacture has quality control issues or the employee that put it together. Didn’t care about their job. See the picture for the piece of plastic that could’ve gone into any of my engines, so I had to blow out the inside of the tank to make sure nothing else was in there. The lid has a spring loaded closing device. That’s nice and everything but there’s an issue. The black portion that actually seals the area where the gas goes in held in place by ball on socket. This part will come off very easily. If you do not pay attention, I found out as I was trying to put the gas nozzle into the tank. OK, enough of the negative things. Once I got past the issues that I mentioned above, it seems to be working perfectly is a perfect solution? For my situation it is I’m actually happy with how fast the gas is dispensed. I had no issues with timing the release of the handle to stop the gas flow as others had mentioned. I guess I just understand that there’s fuel in the hose even after you close off the handle due to its length. Apparently others were not be able to understand that. The only thing I would change is the locking device that keeps you from removing the fuel lid. Most other gas cans have a loaded retention point that keeps you from being able to rotate the cap off unless you depress it. This one does not and that is what I would change. I’m giving it four stars due to the quality control of leaving trash inside a gas can they could ultimately get into an engine. I’m also including the locking cap as another issue engineer should’ve solved after they designed it. ... show more
