Bought this because i need a new gas cannister and the other ones i have bought in the past i found the "new style" of spouts very difficult to use and I either couldn't get the gas out or i spilled. This cannister is fantastic because its easy to use and you can just angle the spout instead of tipping the cannister to avoid spilling. It is pricey but for me it was worth it. Would definitely recommend.

I am happy with the container. Very sturdy & safe enough to store in my garage or carry in the back of my work truck on dirt roads. As someone else mentioned, getting the strong cap spring open to fill it requires 2 hands if it is completely empty. When the gas nozzle is inserted into the fill port, the round cover is attached by a round hip joint type connection & tends to shift sideways & to fly off the can. It is easy to snap back on if you can find both pieces! I would suggest that the fill spout that goes into the equipment have a slightly longer solid piece before the flexible part, so it is long enough to push the hidden flap open on a car tank without having to push your finger down next to it.

I have two of these. One for diesel tractor and one for commercial zero turn mower. Both hard to fill and hold good bit of fuel. Tractor I set tank on hood and run hose over to fill and let it go, kubota. Zero turn I sit tank in seat and run hose over, spartan mower. Both tanks have worked perfect. No issues.

I finally got tired of all the usual gas can configurations out there and decided to spend the dough on these to make my life a little easier. I couldn't be happier. My only, very minor complaint, is that the spring loaded lid has a tendency of popping off while I'm filling it at the gas station. This is far outweighed by the ease of use while I fill my equipment throughout the season. I was also slightly concerned about the moving parts, but I was pleased to see that the spout itself uses a double o-ring configuration to prevent leaks, the trigger prevents leaks even before these 2 o-rings, and, should these o-rings ever dry out or otherwise fail, they sell replacement parts on their website for a very reasonable cost. The wall thickness is incredible and I have no doubt that this thing is going to outlast me. Best of all? Built right here in USA. Can't recommend it enough. (Side note for the "2+" gal version: I use the 5gal for regular pump gas and the 2gal for my 2 smoke mix. Trying to get my oil into the 2 gal canister was kind of a process and absolutely requires a funnel. Even with this small annoyance, these are still well deserving of a 5-star rating.)
