This one works beautifully but it is cloudy, the other one is crystal clear but the wax doesn't move...it is disappointing because they are new. I contacted the seller and they immediately took care of the issue replacing the cloudy one. Love it! Bough this as a gift for my volcano obsessed child. He loves it. It’s good size comes in lots of colors. It definitely gets warm to the touch but not burning that I can tell, (wouldn’t put my hand on it still). Classic lava lamp look, “lava” flows well. Would purchase again.

This lamp broke last night and the lava spilled all over my floors. It is very dangerous , it didn’t tip over , no one bumped into it. I walked into my son’s room to check on him bc I heard a bam and it’s the lava lamp that had exploded and the glass and lava were alll over . When the lamp first arrived we unpacked and setup. It is my daughter's first lava lamp. She turned it on but nothing happened. Noticed the coil was sitting above the lower rim. I emailed customer service. They were quick to respond and give me tips on setup. They also offered to ship a replacement if we were unable to resolve the issue. We warmed the lamp for about an hour the next day and gently rotated until the coil fell to the bottom an hour or two later everything was flowing nicely. GREAT customer service!! ... show more

I had never had a lava lamp before so I wasn't sure what to expect. My apartment tends to be really cold (55-60F) and the instructions said that the lamp might not work in those conditions. The first five uses were not pretty, either the coil floated up or it didn't heat up enough and there'd be weird snake-like wax blobs floating around. However, after about a week of just turning it on for 6-8 hours and letting it do its thing, the lamp started working perfectly. I use it as my nightlight every day. I plan on getting a different color at some point, it's just so soothing I'd like to have one in more than my bedroom. Arrived securely packaged as well. ... show more

Just received my lamps today I bought two but my orange one is so cloudy you can’t even see that it has wax. I’m trying to do everything it said to give it a chance to clear but you can see that my box was dropped. There are pictures I’m trying to give it a chance And I will do an update. We are on the fourth hour. I have never received a lamp like this.Wel I had to send the other one back ordered a new one bulb was broken. Still so cloudy you can’t see the wax. They replace the other one for me that one’s working fine. I have no idea what do you think I feel like I got the same one back again, I want to be able to see the wax moving that’s the whole idea. I hate to think I have to send this back twice. Some of the quality is going in this company. I have nine lamps so I know what I’m talking about. ... show more
