I figured a size 10 would only last her a short while. At that age they are just learning to skate so it doesn’t really matter if the boot is a tiny bit on the large side. I decided to pick up ice-skating again after 40 years of no lessons. The skates were well priced, comfortable out of the box. Needed sharpening, but not a big deal. Haven’t had a blister yet. The skate guards are very nice - glittery, which is even better. The first set of guards were missing pieces, through no fault the seller. These were a little stiffer than I prefer but I grew up with skates that were just leather and no support so I am biased. They made little things like swizzles and skating backwards much easier than my other skates but with that said the weight of these made crossovers really hard for me...I'm just a recreational skater. I guess I will just have to relearn. I am sure once I break them in a little more I will be happy with them. Now that I am getting older I do appreciate the ankle support its just hard to get used to. The blades were really nice the picks worked when I needed them and I had no slipping in these skates....again they are just heavier than I am used to. ... show more

The color is off. They have a pink hue to them. Fits great but I am very disappointed in the color.
