The skate is great. It is light composite boot, a quality steel blade. What cracks me up is that a lot reviewers here first see it necessary to give you their "hockey resume" to presumably give their review more credibility. I actually think that telling us how many years they played, and how their playoff season ended is just to make themselves somehow feel good, because many people are likely to read about it (I don't care). I bought another pair for a son but received a different model (471s?) so I communicated with Skate Guru and they were able to find me the correct size 571s. My son, who is a good hockey player unlike his father, thinks the new skates are great. He’s been wearing them for a few games now and is impressed.
