  • Great Metal and Rock guitar
I have a les Paul, I use it for the classical rock music, Led Zeppelin etc.. But I wanted a shredder and this fits the bill and the budget means I get to sleep in the house tonight.

  • Jackson JS32Q-DKA Darkburst
This guitar is killer for the money. Poplar body, quilt maple top. It is not a veneer. I looked into the route for the trem and you can see the finish is transparent along the sides. It is not a thick top, but not a veneer. Thats a plus in this price range. The arch is cleanly done and the finish very good. 24 jumbo frets on a maple neck with graphite reinforcement rods with amaranth(purpleheart) fretboard. Purpleheart is a dense, durable wood, stable, making it excellent for fretboards. 12" -16" compound radius neck is fast. Floyd Rose licensed double locking trem works as it should. Stays in tune. Jackson Ceramic pickups. Master tone and master volume. very much worth the money!! ... show more

  • Prepare to melt faces
This guitar is a high performance, built for speed, or phat, wet, drippy blues. The paint job is immaculate, the fretboard is awesome!

  • Seller's Photo Deceptive. (Read return policy first ) Item: Jackson-JS32Q Okay for the price.
The photo of the guitar posted on Amazon was not the one I received. Although the item description does say (DKA) which is Dark Sunburst, the photo in the ad is an attractive almost gold sunburst. So I was immediately disappointed when I opened the box. I was about to return the guitar, so I read the seller's (Adorama) return policy. It turns out the restocking fee they charge for this item ranges from 50%-100%. Ridiculous. No more purchases for me from this seller. As far as the guitar itself...( Jackson-JS32Q) it's okay for the price. However I found it not ideally setup out of the box. The fretboard was totally unfinished, no wax or lacquer, which made it difficult to bend the strings initially. I put a couple of dabs of mineral oil on the fretboard which seemed to help. I also lowered the strings which improved playability. Jackson Pickups were okay but not impressive. I suggest you try this guitar at a music store before you buy. That being said, after some setting up, I would give the guitar 3.85 stars. ... show more
