  • Amazing Guitar For The Money Spent
This is my 4th Guitar i’ve bought and theres not really anything wrong with the guitar except it does detune. I’ve read a couple comments about the guitar that has negative reviews saying things like the guitar has flaws, which I dont think it does. Its a great beginner guitar for what you spend and its a good guitar if you just want to have something that will look nice to encourage you to play with it. I own 3 other guitars other than this guitar which are the (Kirk Hammetts ESP 602, Jackson JS1X Randy Rhoads, and Kirk Hammetts Spider ESP) which are all amazing guitars way more expensive then this guitar combined, the only things you would possibly need to upgrade if you want to make this a better guitar, are (locking tuners and different strings) besides all that this is an amazing $200 guitar that would probably last long. The shipping is good, my delivery driver was amazing he made sure the guitar was handed to me nicely with caution, my guitar arrived on time and there was 0 flaws in the packaging because it was packaged very well and in good condition. If you are looking for a good, fun, and well made guitar while on $180-250 budget i’d say definitely buy this guitar. As said this is an amazing beginner guitar even if you are not a beginner like me its also still an amazing guitar. I’d say buy the satin black version because it looks way better and it looks more metal. If you are going for a metal guitar or a guitar that looks like Kirk Hammetts signature guitars i’d say buy this. But other then those things this guitar is amazing!! ... show more

  • Wish I had this when I was young!!!!
I own a couple of Jackson guitars and decided this would be great for my grandson. It arrived early and double boxed, perfect condition. It is nicely made and love the arched-carved top. Tuned it up and it played beautifully. No buzz, great action, and the Jackson fretboard is the best...jumbo frets, great radius, super easy to play. I played it clean and with high gain and it sounded great...the hardware is not the greatest, but tuners are smooth and it stays in tune. Who knows, I might buy one for me!!!! For $200 you can't beat it. For $300, well you can get its better brother so moot point. ... show more

  • I'm glad i bought it.
This is the 6th guitar I have and maybe the 9th I've ever owned. I bought this guitar cuz I like the Jackson compound radius neck (I have an RR1) and its super cheap and I wanted a guitar just for always being tuned down 1 whole step (DGCFAD) Well I got it 2 months ago and yes I love the neck, the tuners however are pure crap though. The tremolo rests on the body tightly and even never touching the tremolo bar the things out of tune as soon as you touch the strings for more than 2 minutes. I was no lie CONSTANTLY adjusting the tuning. Made me regret buying it a little but I bought some decent ($45) locking tuners and swapped them out and the difference was night and day. I frigging love this cheapo guitar now with locking tuning pegs! The pickups are bottom of the line I'm sure but I don't know what they sound like as this is just a knock around practice guitar and I'm (no lie) yet to plug it in for the first time. I'm assuming they work lol. If they dont I'll replace them too. So in my opinion buy this good looking guitar (I love the look and feel of the satin flat black) and be thankful that it's super cheap but know you have to spend another $45 or so and put in some good locking tuners. Probably great for beginners. The locking tuners I bought to replace the ones that came with it are "Guyker" brand. They say "Professional" on them. They were about $45 I think. They were an exact match - just take the Jackson ones out and replace. No drilling or woodworking required. Super simple. ... show more

  • Great guitar. Especially for the price.
The guitar arrived two days early, which was nice. It was securely packaged and arrived in perfect condition. The neck is slick and easy and it came intonated. The body is very clean, absolutely scratch free and feels great. The pickups sound pretty hot but you can dial it down a bit to jam to anything really. The electronics are all very sturdy and no buzz or hum. It's a great guitar for a beginner or for someone who likes swapping out parts. This guitar is the Honda Civic of guitars. Tune as you wish. But keep an eye out for Toretto. ... show more

  • Great guitar!!!
As a former luthier I know my way around guitars. I've owned high end and low end guitars. This is definitely priced as a low end but quality is definitely midrange. Craftsmanship is on point. The negatives are what they always are on cheap guitars. Tuners suck, volume and tone pots are cheap, pickups are budget, and the nut is plastic. So instead of spending the money on a higher tier one you can just upgrade it with all the parts you want. I know for me I would be upgrading the higher tier one so for the money this is a much better option. The frets had quick level. It's playable but I would recommend a good fret level and polish. The setup wasn't the best so it's something I would also address and these are also things typical to the price point. Sometimes the only difference between these and the top ones is hardware and a quality fret polish and setup. I definitely recommend getting this one. ... show more
