I was able to use my Christmas Tree without having to pay the high price of "time of use" peak electricity rates charged by my local utility (between 5:00 PM and 8:00 PM weekdays). I will also be able to use the unit for my travel trailer when camping without hookups. Now that Christmas is over, I use the unit to power the LED electric fireplace logs in a wood burning fireplace (that cannot be used for wood burning due to County of Sacramento air quality regulations) again avoiding local utility "time of use" peak electrical rates. There has been little sun this time of the year to use to charge the unit, but when I did use the solar panels it charged with cloudy sun conditions, it would just take an unusually long time to fully charge the unit this time of the year considering shading conditions and cloudy conditions, but it worked with the solar panels and fully charges using grid power in approximately 2 and 1/2 hours after being discharged to around 20%. ... show more

Used it to run the power in my hunting cabin to lessen the generator starts when not needed. Coffee pot, lights, phone and iPad charging, battery tools and power saw were all handled with this unit. Took it down to 40% everyday and it charged back to 100% in an hour with the generator.

From a performance standpoint the unit is as described, seems solid, like the features. If you read the label on the back side of the unit it says, “Do Not Use Outdoors”. I sent a note to Jackery via Amazon, no response. I understand lawyers and CYA, but, where I come from, words still mean things and I don’t like how they show numerous pics/videos of the unit being used outdoors then put legalese on the label and likely assume no one will read or care about. My one additional concern would be will they cover any damage that may come from the unit being used outdoors and it were to get wet? I expect better(response and for being transparent) from those I do business with. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I am a first responder and an avid camper. The peace of mind that comes with having the Jackery 2000PRO while operating a command center is priceless. I have used the Jackery 2000pro and 1000pro while off grid camping, the sense of complete freedom that these units provide makes you feel invisible. It powers my hot water system, camping lights, charges all my devices and powers my Nutri Ninja and much more. Let me add, the 2-hour recharge time is one of the best upgrade. I would like to add a 200 watts solar panel to the system, but for now, running an inverter generator for 2 hours to charge both units aren’t bad. I have read some questions about why Jackery hasn’t gone to LifePo4. I have done my test with Jackery’s batteries vs. a LifePo4 unit, and the battery density of the Jackery out last the LifePo4, therefore you have to charge the LifePo4 battery twice as much. In closing, good job Jackery, I have my eye on the 3000Pro. Just purchase the 1500Pro ... show more

Style: Solar Generator 1500Pro 200W
I received the Generator and tested it by charging it to 100% using AC current. That worked. Then I plugged in a lamp and ran it down to 80% so I could try charging with the solar panel. That was working (slowly, as expected). I let it go to 90%, and then disconnected so I could top off quickly with AC. It would only charge back to 97% maximum. The unit lost 3% of its capacity in less than a day with almost no usage. I called tech support, ran through a reset and some tests, and the tech support agent agreed it was a problem and said he would send a return authorization. The return authorization never arrived, so I called back. The next person I spoke to told me it is in a que for processing but the person I spoke with is overwhelmed, and cannot send this out yet. They would not give me a time frame. The promotion included a carrying case for the unit. I have the Explorer 1500 Pro. They sent a case for the 1500, not the pro version. It is too small to fit my unit. When I asked them to send me the correct case they told me they cannot do that, with no explanation as to why. I asked to speak to a supervisor. I was told that is not possible. The support at this company is beyond a joke. So now I have a defective Solar Generator and a case for it that is too small, and no one will help me.
