  • Well built
Style: Explorer 2000 v2
I tested this during a FL power outage and it worked very well to charge phones, power a fan and a laptop. It's powerful enough to power a refrigerator for a whole day. The unit is heavy but easy to move with the handle. It's has a fan for cooling the batteries while changing, but it's not loud. You can power all sorts of devices with it and ot can be used as an UPS too. The LCD panel shows useful information about charge, inputs and outputs. I don't know if it will remain reliable long term, but so far it looks like a quality product. Considering getting a second one. ... show more

  • Great product at great price
Style: Explorer 2000 v2
Jackery Explorer 2000 V2 Review: I'm referring to the equipment as portable power station / PPS / battery. PERFORMANCE: It arrived well packaged and in perfect condition, with 30% charge. Charging was very simple. There is a quiet charging mode, which takes 3x duration to full charge, but is also quieter. I thought full charge speed was a nice, quiet, pleasant white / no need for the quiet charge option. Quiet charging is unneeded for us, but a neat feature. I didn't realize when shopping that there was a light on the power station (dim, bright, SOS pattern options), so that's good. I created a Jackery account and paired the device with the app, which was all simple. I guess the best part of the app is being able to remotely see the % battery left. For what it's worth though, you can remotely turn on each segment of the power station (DC / USBs, AC / normal wall outlets, and the light) too. We unplugged the fridge from the wall and plugged it into the PPS. Treated the fridge as we normally do, opening when we needed to take something out / put something in, dispensing water. It lasted for 21.3 hours. The battery also has pass-through charging, meaning you can plug the PPS into the wall while power is on, and the fridge (or other equipment) will charge from the battery. If we're away from the house while the power comes back on, the fridge will switch to being powered from the wall (via the PPS) while the battery starts to recharge in preparation for the next power loss event. The charging speed during pass-through charging is roughly the same as charging while not powering anything (~1500W). We also tested pass-through charging by turning the breaker off (simulating power loss) while the fridge was plugged into the PPS and the PPS plugged into the wall. The transition from pass-through to battery was seamless. The fridge lights never even flickered through wall-power loss and through changing back to pass-through charging. Given this capability, I could see using it as a battery backup for our sump pump, with the sump pump always plugged into the PPS, which would always be plugged into the wall. _________(I haven't dont research to verify if there will be any effect on life of product if used that way.)__________ The alternative is the PPS sitting in on a shelf in the basement, waiting to either be manually deployed as a fridge backup, or in the rare case of outdoor camping use. WEIGHT: When I first picked it up, I was happy we went with Jackery, being the least heavy among competitors (EcoFlow, Anker, Bluetti). At 40 lbs, it's heavy for sure, but much more manageable for taking up/down the stairs than competitors' 50-60 lb devices of equal capacity. I was also able to hoist it onto the counter when needed. PRICE: Black Friday, 2024: We purchased from Amazon on Black Friday for $800 ($900, plus a $100 "coupon" that you just need to click the checkbox for). At the time, Jackery was selling for $900 (no coupon). I found the Jackery Explorer 2000 V2 to be comparable, but ~$100-200 lower cost than competitors mentioned above. Dec6, 2024: Amazon is back to selling for the regular listed price of $1500, with no sale. Jackery is back to the regular listed price of $1500, but with a $600 "coupon" automatically applied at checkout. This sale is the "Christmas Sale!" December 3-8. So Jackery's Black Friday sale wasn't exclusive to Black Friday. Dec12, 2024: Amazon: sale for $900 Jackery: sale for $1100 (listed at $1500, with $400 coupon) LONGEVITY: I have only had this product for about a week, so I can not speak to the longevity of the product. ... show more

  • The solar panels are awesome. Fast charge with 400 watt when you use both panels.
Style: Explorer 2000 v2+200Wx2
The Jackery came fully charged. I brewed a pot of coffee which brought the charge to 94%. Coffee pots are power gobblers. I then ran our 34-inch TV for 2 days. Shut off overnight. I then powered a 3-way lamp for about 6 hours to bring the power to 10%. I was interested in the solar charging. Other reviews had some trouble with their panels, so I worried. I shouldn't have. I am very pleased with its charging and speed. I hooked up both panels. The display said it would take 6 hours to charge. The rate was 397 watts, up to 400. The panels have circle and dot to help with angle placement for maximum charging. I did have to realign to keep optimum charging. I believe it would have charge in 6 hours had it not turned partly cloudy. It was done at 8 hours. The portability will make it excellent for camping. But I did get this one because my smaller power units could not handle a coffee pot when a storm killed our power. I like the capacity of this big one. Even though it can charge a phone, this big hog will be used for more substantial energy needs. Its functions simple and easy. I now have 3 of varying capacity. The 290, 500 and 2000. I am ready for fun and mild inconvenience. ... show more

  • Good product, A+ customer service
Style: Explorer 2000 v2+200Wx2
First of all, it is hard to find companies that are responsive to customers questions or concerns and not everything is predictable so I appreciated the excellent and prompt customer service responses I received with Jackery. Their California location may be one reason for that. A couple of small ordering and delivery glitches were handled quickly to my satisfaction, and I received delivery about 10 days after placing order. The power station is excellent in its power capacity. It is not light weight, but at slightly under 40 pounds it is still significantly lighter than other brands with similar wattage that are 20 pounds heavier. It has a sturdy pull-up carrying handle, smooth, well designed case. I could use a couple more outlets on it, but it's adequate for my need. It is an adjunct to my gas powered generator that powers the essential areas of my house. Two rooms not covered by my emergency switching panel will be served indoors by this fume free power station which will take care of my internet mesh router during the day and a medical device at night. I waited to post a review until I tested everything and I can say everything worked perfectly out of the box. The power station charged up from 29% to 100% in about 1h 40m. I then drained it down to about 94% running my laptop and charging a few things and took it outside to test the solar panels. Because we were having a run of typical overcast NW days I waited for a partially sunny day to test. I then tested the panels on a day with partial sun, and even with that I immediately got around 30 watts of charging through clouds. A couple days later with full sun, I retested and got 200 watts of charging power, so good to go with that. Choices of AC or solar charging or both together for fastest result. I had read a couple of low reviews so I was cautious to make sure everything worked. I think the problems they had could be prevented by reading the manual and checking connections. The complaint about no adapter for included solar panels can be solved by checking the plug on the cable for the Jackery panels which can fit 2 types of receptacles by simply pulling it apart, in this case to use the straight section of the plug. Compatability with other brands should be checked whether they might be different. Also the cable that connects to the solar panels must be properly inserted or it will not work at all. It may look like it could work either way, but there is a tongue and groove fit that must match facing toward the front of the panel and pushed in all the way. The way I first connected looked good but did not work until I changed it. Then it worked immediately. I was not previously familiar with the Jackery brand, but overall, after this experience, I am very happy with this purchase and would do so again. And with the newer type LiFePO power cells, I expect many years of good usage. ... show more
