  • Reliable, powerful and Manages Battery Life Very Well
Style: E1000v2
To start with, I love my Jackery Explorer 300 and took a chance on the Explorer 1000 and not disappointed. This is copy of my review for DJI Portable Power Station 1000 Vs the Jackery Explorer 1000. I hope to help others when comparing these two popular power stations that are both known for reliability. In the end for a quick read, the Jackery Explorer out performed the DJI Portable Power Station by quite a bit. Great job Jackery! Here is my slightly edited review: I purchased the DJI Power 1,000 Portable Power Station for emegencies as well as camping and such. I do own a Jackery Explorer 300 as well as a Jackery Exporer 1000. Today I tested the Jackery Explorer 1000 (1500W rating) as well as the DJI Power 1000 (2200W rating). I've had the Jackery 1000 for maybe a month and the DJI for about 1 week and both were new up to today and charged to 100% for the first time for this test. I connected each to a 1000W heater (Presto Heat Dish) which is a reflective type heater with no fan/blower, just a heating element reflected off what looks like a satellite dish. I put the heater at highest setting and it was rated at about 1045-1047 watt output according to both battery power stations. I tried to run them both for ONE hour and see what percentage of the battery power stations was left after the hour. The Jackery Exporer 1000 had 40% battery life after 1 one hour which was good, so I first thought. After trying the DJI 1000, the Jackery was apparently very good. The Jackery never really got too warm and was super quiet. The DJI Power 1000 could not make it to one hour. I shut it down after 45 minutes as it only had 7% battery life left. I never run them to zero and 7% was much lower than I like to run them to, but wanted to milk this until at least 45 minutes, which I did. The fan area near the power switch area of the DJI was pretty warm and the other side fan area was cool, near the outlets. The DJI also had noticeable fan noise, but it was just noticeable and not loud. I also noticed after getting the DJI Power 1000 that it didn't have the cigarette lighter receptacle (12V DC) like the Jackery did, which I overlooked. The Jackery is about 2/3 the weight of the DJI and has a swing handle across the top like most smaller power stations do. The DJI had two fixed grips, one on each side which seem more sturdy, but not as convenient to carry around. I don't usually rate and review two named items in a review but both are great names with reliabilty and known quality. I'm just sad to say that the DJI did not live up to my expectations and relly disappointed. Hopefully they will get the battery management taken care of in future models. With the DJI rated another 700 watts than the Jackery, I guess I expected more. If I were to put a 2200 watt device on the DJI Power 1000, I'm not sure it would last a half hour. I would recommend the Jackery Exporer 1000 very easily after my test. jackery is quiet, reliable and the energy used is very well managed within the system. ... show more

  • Great power source for vendor fairs!
Style: E1000v2
This is a great investment if you need a portable power source! I use it for vendor events. It powers my printer and can charge a computer and phones for an 8 hour event and still has more than 85% power left.

  • Reliable home backup power Reliable home backup power
Style: E1000v2
I purchased this unit to prepare for the hurricane season in Florida. Although I haven’t had a chance to use it during an outage, I have been using it extensively over the past week to test its reliability in keeping the household functioning smoothly. Here’s a detailed account of how I utilized this powerhouse: I set up the Explorer 1000 v2 in a central location within my home for easy access. The first priority was to connect the refrigerator to prevent food spoilage. The 1500W AC output was more than sufficient to keep it running without any hiccups. I also connected a portable air conditioning unit to test it, as outages often happen during particularly hot spells. The power station handled both appliances simultaneously, and I am satisfied with the results. With the power station’s multiple charging ports, I was able to keep all our essential communication devices powered. I used the 100W PD USB-C ports to quickly charge smartphones and a tablet. The fast charging ensured our phones were ready to use much quicker than standard chargers, keeping us connected to family and emergency services. Throughout the testing, I actively used the Jackery app to monitor the power station’s battery level and manage its output. The app allowed me to switch between charging modes depending on our power needs, which may be helpful in prolonging battery life over several hours of an outage. At night, utilizing the quiet mode was beneficial. It significantly reduced the noise level, allowing my family and me to sleep without disturbance while still powering our fridge and a few fans throughout the night. I also have a gas generator at home, and using the Explorer 1000 v2 is a totally different experience. The absence of generator noise makes you forget the fact that you are using backup power. As for the charging speed, Jackery claims a one-hour recharge feature for the Explorer 1000 v2 when the emergency charging mode is activated in the app. While the one-hour recharge is convenient and charges quickly as advertised, it reverts to normal charging mode after each quick charge. So, I just stick with the normal charging mode most of the time. It takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes to recharge the 1000 v2 from 0 to 100%, which is good enough for me. Overall, the Explorer 1000 v2 can be trusted as a backup power source during outages. It’s a versatile, powerful tool that will keep our household safe and comfortable. ... show more

  • A must have for any household
Style: E1000v2
I live in central Florida and although it is seldom, we do have power outages. Most of them are of short duration. On some occasions it could last a few days. I do have an 1800 w duel fuel inverter/generator that I have been using. The struggles with a gas generator are running cords through a window and having the cords strung around. I purchased the Jackery Explorer 1000 v2 as it was one of the top brands that I have been researching. When I saw the price drop, I had to pull the trigger. My primary mission for this unit is to run the kitchen refrigerator. Anything else in my mind was a plus. For my test with the refrigerator, I ran the refer on the Jackery power supply for eight hours sitting on the kitchen counter next to the refrigerator. Starting at 100% in eight hours of continuous operation the power unit went down to 53%. Projecting this out, it might run my refer for fourteen hours. In summer months I would expect less as the compressor would run more frequently. When the compressor was running, there was a draw of 132 watts. The Jackery is so quiet that you never hear it. It is handy where it sits on the counter as we can easily plug in the toaster, blender, lights or any other device we might want. I found that I could recharge the Jackery with my gas generator at a rate of 780 watts even with the refrigerator power being supplied by the Jackery. I can power so many things with this Jackery and it is so very functional that I purchased a second Jackery Explorer 1000 v2. Now I can power the garage refrigerator at the same time, swap them around and durring an outage have the ability to charge them anytime with my gas generator outside of the garage. They are small, light weight, and have a nice handle to carry them to different locations. They will supply enough power that we can sleep all night without being concerned about any power need issues. These units in tandom with my gas generator could keep us going for weeks as it only takes a couple of hours of running the gas generator to fully charge the Jackery. Life is good! ... show more

  • So far good quality unit, some confusing features and documentation
Style: E1000v2
***Update and added a star, as a result of this review, Jackery called me and we had a great discussion of the problems and features. It seems that the unit will drop wifi connectivity after two hours of disconnect from Wifi and needs manual reconnect. That's not ideal architecture. I've made some recommendations on that and hopefully future firmware updates can incorporate it. The functionality of the unit differs based on its use, whether it's portable power or a UPS, I get that, but functions should follow the intended use. Anyway, very impressive service from Jackery to get a personal call.**** I use this as a power 'pass through' whereby it's plugged into mains power, and then I have it outputting AC to my heating unit through a transfer switch, so that if the power goes down, the heating unit has power continually. I can elect to power the heater from the panel via the transfer switch. I found that this Jackery unit was shutting down frequently and not providing pass-through power. IT seems there are two 'energy saving' settings that were default activated. This is odd because this defeats the whole pass-through functionality. Also, this is not 'energy saving' per se as this unit is an energy storage unit. So you're not really 'saving energy' by shutting it off after a given amount of time. The documentation with the unit is very very spare and does not address this function in any useful manner. I finally figured out that I just shut down these fairly useless 'energy saving' functions and that's that. I did reach out to tech support on it and basically I think I got back AI answers with no useful information or any understanding of my issue. For instance, I told them that I would intermittently have it shut down, and they asked for video of this. I told them it's intermittent so I don't have video. They kept asking for video. I don't think the tech support was human. Second issue is that it keeps dropping WiFi connectivity. It does this randomly, but especially unhelpful, it does it after a power outage. I had a power outage and the unit stayed on and did its job, then after the power comes back, when I especially wanted to see how much power it used, it was offline. I had to manually reconnect it when I returned to its location. This is entirely unreliable for remote access as I do use this for power backup when I am travelling in winter and heat is critical. So, the unit seems to function well (during my power outage, I was able to brew a pot of coffee off of it and used 20% of the stored power, so that's good!) but the software and interface design is poor. ... show more

  • Excellent t
Style: E1000v2
This works great. I live in the mountains and when we have high winds our power is shut off to prevent fires, which I appreciate. I don’t have a “normal” generator because I need to get a transfer switch installed so I just bought this. I am very happy with it. Just as a background I bought the 240 version years ago before living in the mountains and used it for camping to charge my phone and laptop and the smaller one worked so well I upgraded. I have had the 240 for four years and it still works great. I use rechargeable lightbulbs for lighting which works phenomenal and use the 1000v2 to charge my refrigerator and mini deep freezer. I cannot say how long it lasts as the power comes back on before the battery dies, but it always keeps my food from spoiling. Another thing I love is the app. Normally I will not download ANOTHER app to my phone, but this is worth it. It tells me how much power is left and I can turn on the emergency light from the app too. This is helpful when I sleep upstairs, meaning I don’t have to get out of bed at 3 am to check to see how much power the battery has. I will most likely get another one at some point. In my opinion, it is worth the investment. ... show more

  • Quick Charging unit with a large Inverter for power outages
Style: E1000v2
I purchased the Jackery Explorer 1000 V2 during the Early Black Friday Discount period in November 2025 to help during the expected power outages this Winter. The biggest reason for this purchase is my great experience with the other Jackery Explorers that my family have been using for the past five years. All of my other units are still working as expected and are still at peak performance. Last year we had some rotating blackouts and I wanted to add another quick charging unit to my mix. I like the Jackery Explorer 1000 V2 enough that this is my second E1000 V2. I purchased the 1st one last spring before the Summer storms from Jackery. The 1500 Watt inverter is large enough to power almost all of your kitchen counter equipment and the light weight will let you position the E1000 V2 wherever you need it. I like multiple units as this requires fewer extension cords and you can be solar charging some while using others. The E1000 V2 is just the right size for me as it has light weight, fast charging and enough battery size to complete most operations. You can easily double the battery capacity if needed by connecting a 12 Volt 100AH LiFePO4 battery to the Solar Input. The 12 Volt battery will give you 100 watts of charge to extend the battery run time. You can use this if Solar is not available or on cloudy days. You will need to recharge the Battery with a separate charger after use. One of the reasons that I chose the Jackery Explorer line is that they are reliable self contained units and do not require other equipment to operate. Some of the competition requires smart phones with special applications to use all of the features. If you have a wide area power outage it is better to have each piece of your emergency equipment able to stand alone. It is somewhat discouraging to see some of the new Jackery units requiring a smart phone for some of their features. If you live in a area where power interruptions happen, then you will find that a Jackery Explorer 1000 V2 will just make things a lot better for your family. Keep the charge topped off every 3 months and it will be ready when you need it. Note the E1000 V2 will not except a charge if the display reads 100% even after setting for enough time for the internal self discharge to drop the charge below 100%. ... show more
