  • OK, here's the deal:
Style: MS Teams Optimized
I bought this headset for use at work as my #1 priority. And because we use MS Teams and Skype for Business at my workplace, that was a requirement. My workplace provided a wired headset for all of us when we moved to Skype for Business some time back. Most of us got Plantronics Blackwire wired models. They are perfectly fine; in fact they sound great for calls and the mics work very well. But when our group moved from relatively quiet semi-private walled cubicles to an open office environment where every conversation is audible even from 3 aisles away, I wanted something with some noise cancellation even if it meant paying for it myself. And because I was paying for it myself, I wanted something that I could use outside of work as well. I considered the on-ear Jabra Evolve 75 and over-ear Evolve 80 and I considered the Sennheiser MB 660 and Plantronics Voyager 6200 and 8200 UC. I settled on these because they are somewhat water-resistant so I can work out with them, they have great all-day battery life, and they are super portable. I have used them to work out several times and they are just OK for that. I think it probably depends on what kind of exercise you're doing. The ear buds don't fall out of my ears because the ear hooks keep them in place fairly well but the neckband can be annoying if you're jumping around or moving a lot. I don't imagine this is any different from any other neckband style headset so I'm not knocking them that. This was my first neckband-style headset so it's just something I noticed and point out here to anyone else who may be wondering. If you're on an elliptical or bike, it's fine. If you're doing high-impact aerobics or laying on a bench or floor it could become annoying. But I broke into a sweat with these several times and they were fine. I do sincerely wish I could find alternative ear gels for these. The ability to put some Comply foam tips on these would be great as it would help seal out even more noise. These are effective for canceling out steady noise like the HVAC at work but they aren't really great at blocking voices. Having tips that seal better would make these excellent instead of just OK. I have listened to music with these and they are not meant for audiophiles. If you are an audiophile you will find them a little heavy on the mid to low end. Some people like this though and it might be OK and I will say these are great for podcasts and audiobooks. These are really meant for spoken word listening. The clarity and detail retrieval for music is not anywhere near class-leading but I think most of us don't buy Bluetooth headphones with high expectations for this. We buy them because they are convenient. And these really succeed in that area for me because I don't ever have to take them off. I can pair these with my work laptop via the included dongle and also with my phone via Bluetooth and go back and forth between Skype calls/meetings, music, and podcasts without ever losing a literal beat. If I want to listen to my high-resolution audio and be a music snob I will put on "real" headphones and plug in via a headphone jack. I nevertheless keep these on and ready at all times during the work day and because they hang around my neck and mainly stay out of the way, it's easy to switch to another pair if I want. These sound great for calls (just as good as my wired Blackwire) and I've had no issues with using them on Skype for B and MS Teams calls and meetings at work. I like how the mute button works as it should within Skype. I read a lot of reviews and watched a lot of YouTube comparisons between these and they Voyager 6200 UC and these seemed to sound better because of the better proximity of the mic to your mouth. I also like that these are magnetic and are therefore less floppy. The Voyager doesn't have that feature. And because these are in-ear instead of over/on-ear, they're much easier to port around. I basically put them on before I leave the house in the morning and wear them home at night. No fuss. They take forever to charge but they really do last all day so I accept that trade-off. So these are worth $200 for me but if you don't need the Skype for B/MS Teams/Lync connectivity, I'd say don't buy these. There are so many better ways to spend $200 on Bluetooth earphones/headphones. In fact, you don't even need to spend that much. Get a Radsone ES100 and plug in your own high-quality headphones of choice. But if you want a portable Skype for B/Lync/Teams solution, I think this is a great choice. BTW - I saw a lot of reviews on Amazon saying they had problems with static and I first bought these from Amazon Warehouse to try to save a little money and that pair had that problem out of the box. I found it was an issue only when noise cancellation was on. I returned those and bought a new pair at full price. I have had them now for just about 2 months and haven't had any problems but I also bought an extended warranty since it did seem to be a fairly common problem. I will update if I run into that issue. ... show more

  • I want to love it but randomly has issues
Style: MS Teams Optimized
I use this for an 8 hour shift working from home. During my lunch break I typically charge it while plugged into the computer. I've had times where I couldn't get the mic to work or I couldn't hear but the other person could hear me. I eventually realized leaving the usb adapter in the computer while trying to use the headset while plugged in charging will cause it to act weird. Sometimes, after taking it off the charger and connecting to the adapter the mic will stop working. I actually hung up 2 calls today thinking the other person called by accident because they weren't responding. In actuality, my mic wasn't working. Odd though because I called my own cellphone and could hear myself on my phone. Anyways, I plugged it back in with the adapter out and it seems to be working. It would be great if those bugs are fixed though. Battery life isn't what's stated. I get to a little after my lunch break and it says low battery. It's lasts maybe 5 hours but I get a lot of calls. I like the freedom to not be stuck in one place wirelessly but a lot of the time I still have to go wired. ... show more

  • Wedge shaped ear bud design doesn't stay in the ear.
Style: MS Teams Optimized
I wanted to love these but the ear buds wedge shape simply dropped out of my ears. None of the sizes would stay in either of my ears. In addition, the ear bud wires are so stiff they lay across the cheek which would be very annoying even if they were able to stay inside my ears. I returned them and received a full refund. ... show more

  • Perfect earphones for back to back meetings
Style: MS Teams Optimized
I purchased the Jabra Evolve 75e because it was on the list of recommendated headsets at my workplace. I've been using them for several months in my work from home setup, they provide good quality and comfort during many daily Microsoft Team meetings. I personally don't like over the ear headphones and find them very uncomfortable if worn for multiple hours. I can wear these headphones for back to back meetings without feeling my ears sore or sweating. Audio quality is OK, but I'm not an expert and I'm not that picky with audio. My colleagues definitely noticed I got new headphones and complimented my new voice quality. Noise cancelling is pretty decent too. People barely hear when leave blowers are running in my apartment complex or when the fire alarm is tested (and breaks everyday after for a week). I can still hear sounds around the house, but they're not as distracting. The battery gets me through 7-8 hours of meetings with no issues, I can't tell accurately how long they last since I charge them by default at the end of day most times. They charge really fast, 2 hours is more than enough for a full charge. When you start them and once battery is low, you get audio cues on battery level. The fact they are wireless adds to the comfort, since I can move around the house during meetings and stretch out. The setup was almost instant, I have the USB dongle in my laptop and the headset is also connected to my Android phone via Bluetooth. The buttons work well in Microsoft Teams, and I like the "busy" light feature (just wish people would actually look at it). The headphones come with extra tips for proper adjustments, and I like how sleek and practical is the case. It's the first time I actually got good use of the headphone case. Personally I wouldn't wear this for working out or anything active, the neckband moves and slips easily. ... show more
