I am a marathon runner and recently had to purchase his product to replace my elite Active 75T headphones prior to the Berlin marathon. My 75T headphones had stopped working. This was the third time the 75T headphones had stopped working over the course of the past three years. Most users would know that the 75T has these issues and often times it to find a replacement bud post warranty. I had to buy it soon rather than wait for this product to be out as my marathon was coming up in a week. This is an early review as it has only been several weeks. I also purchased it before the $20 price drop. I have used products from different companies, but prefer the in the ear styling without any ear hooks or adapters. I also like the strong bass sound and quality that these headphones provide. Pros 1. Secure fit in ear, smaller than the 75t but the elite 8 felt more secure than the 75t. I 2. Prefer the Elite 8 design, and the clicking button is invisible. 3. Great sound for in the ear buds. Base sounds great as expected. I feel the quality of sound is better. 4. ANC (noise cancellation) works much better. It worked great during airplane ride. In the 75t I could not tell the difference between off and ANC but can tell with the Elite 8. 5. Durable: I ran a whole marathon (just over three hours) and had no issues. I threw water over myself and headphones had sweat and water and still worked well unlike the 75t that would cut out with water splash. 6. Spatial audio is unique and probably more a personal thing and so won’t review that. Cons 1. Hear through: every time I used it during a run it would go into off mode after a few minutes. I would have to take a bud out of my ear and reinsert it for it to reset. It could be a software issue. It has less static than the 75t. There were no issues when just sitting or light activities but that’s not why you get “active” model. 2. Off mode better for running. ANC was actually noisier like wind noise and off mode made it better. Hear through wasn’t working well during runs, so that may be significant issue. I saw another review mentioning this and hope it can be resolved. Overall I enjoy the design and fit of the Jabra. I was happy that sweat and water during a marathon did not affect the sound. It stayed secure during a 3 hour run. I am looking forward to see how the durability is because the 75t was horrible. The sound and fit is why it was worth the hassle. It is an upgrade but I assume most 75t will switch when their headsets fail. The four stars are more for the price and hear through issues when running. ... show more

I’ve used my new Jabra Elite 8 Actives for a couple weeks now and I absolutely love them. As described, the battery life lives up to the hype. I have used it several times over several days with no need to recharge. The sound is fantastic – you can definitely hear the difference with Spatial sound on. I’ve only paired with one device but had no issues and Jabra’s Sound Plus app makes it even easier. My husband loves his music loud and he even likes these ear buds. If you haven’t already done so, pick up a pair! Oh, one other thing. The one feature I really like about these is you can use either the left or right or both. Let me start by saying that I am constantly on the go and was in need of earbuds that could keep up. The Elite 8 Active earbuds from Jabra have taken me seamlessly through an early morning call to listening to my favorite playlist while at the gym, to chatting with a friend while walking the dog without the buds ever falling out of my ear! That’s a win right there! But what I like the most about these buds is that no one on the other side of my call could hear any wind noise…at…all! And the wind was blowing! The adaptive hybrid active noise cancellation is truly amazing. And the spatial audio makes me feel as if I’m at a concert VS at the gym which has made working out that much better. I own a LOT of true wireless headphones. If it is over 300 and made by Sony, Bose or Beats they are in my quiver. It's been a while since I added a Jabra. And these are awesome. With my Sony XM5s, I'm always afraid they are going to fall out of my ear when snowboarding or playing Squash. Jabra stay put. Period. The audio is great and the noise cancellation on par with Bose.
