This was my introduction to crocheting, so I'd say this would be a good kit for a beginner! the container for holding the hookers etc is very nice but I honestly lost it lol. The hooks are honestly very good quality, and I still use them to this day, but the yarn is way too thin for beginners, so I'd encourage you to buy your own yarn to learn with at the minimum. The stitch markers did break over time, but I honestly find using bobby pins to be better than any stitch markers anyway!!

I like the crochet needles and the case they came in, however, not happy with the yard that was sent . It’s too thin for a beginner to work with you. Need to add something in there. That’s a little more thicker. Other than that the idea of your case in the bag that came in in the books are great.

I am a long time knitter, longer time wanna be crocheter. After many failed attempts, I decided *one more try* and got this kit. When it came, I was SO impressed. There are ample yarn colours and product to make amigurumi which is what I bought it for. (Readers who do not know that word, it is those small crochet animals and foods.) The hooks are pretty good quality. There were stich counters, a yarn gauge, cutters, needles, a measuring tape. Just about everything that somebody would need to get started. Also got the booklet in the bag! I was expecting a digital download. I highly recommend this kit and will likely buy it as a gift for a friend. *I had seen on some other reviews that people complained about the yarn. I think that was someone who was not aware of the cost of yarn. What you get in this bag is a pretty good value for beginner yarn.*
