Update: I'm returning it. I'm going to keep this because it suits my needs but it was not as described in the picture and it is wobbly. It was easy to put together, though. Another thing I don't care for is the little drawers literally sit in the cubby, they are not on tracks like most drawers and there isn't anything to hold them from coming out too far.

good and easy to build

So I wanted a small unit for my kitchen/dining area to use as a small pantry. This was perfect in size and a decent price. I was so excited to get it and after about an hour and a half of putting it together, came to a part where the shelves and the holes to screw in did not align. Honestly, I tried to make it work because I really wanted this! I attempted to see if I could just drill new holes correctly, but since I am not a carpenter and couldn't see well, the screw ended up popping through the wood! I then noticed that even if the construction had been right, the back panels would not have fit properly into the grooves because the shelf was too big and blocking part of the grooves for the back panel to slide into. It was just a total mess! Two hours of my life I can't get back and total disappointment. I honestly thought about eating the money and just trashing the darn thing but then I'm like NO....they probably count on that. So I took the stupid thing apart and shoved it back in box and I'm returning it. There were already mixed reviews on this item for the same reasons I had...and others that had no issue. So basically you are gambling if you buy this item.

I was looking for a small shelf to fit a very specific space in the laundry area--this is perfect! So many of those available were pressed board, cardboard, or some type of plastic, but this is mostly wood (with a few particle board parts). It looks very nice and is sturdy enough to hold our detergent and laundry supplies out of sight.
