This was my first time trying out a hydroponic system & I am so pleasantly surprised by how fast I saw results. Easy to follow directions, low maintenance. So happy with the results after only 3 weeks! Great value for the cost. Update: Third photo is about 1.5 months in. I have harvested the greens several times for salads and they grow back quickly. I have been changing all of the water & adding new nutrients about once a week, adding water ~1 other time during the week as needed. Loved the results so bought a second. I tried this when my brain wasn't the best so I didn't read all the directions and made it alot harder on myself. I had a couple of seeds sprout and transfered them to the small baskets in the growing section. One did really well, but it the whole piece got dropped a couple times when I was moving and I lost all the vitamin water I had made for the plants so I decided to wait till I was more settled. I was looking at several different brands when deciding to purchase, I went with this one cause it had more spots and movable lights. However, it does not have a water level mark on the outside so it is really hard to tell how much water you are putting in. I had to add more than the vitamin mixture called for. Just a thought. Hoping to try this in a couple of months and I think it will work better for me. Also, the light that it uses is really bright so if you are effected by light as you sleep I would recommend putting it in a different room as it has a 10 light window, regardless of outside light. ... show more

I had my doubts about the quality if this when I saw fuzzy looking floaty things in the nutrient solution. I used it anyway, and my plants are doing great! I have lettuce, spinach, and herbs that have only been in the thing for about a month, and I’ve already been eating from it. I kind of want more of these now so I can do even more plants. ... show more

I bought this for myself with birthday gift money. Really easy to set up, I’m just waiting for the seeds to take off. I can’t figure out the timer so I just unplug at night and replug I’m the morning.

I'm growing lettuce and miniature tomatoes and it's mostly going well. I first planted it in September. This came with a complete kit and good instructions. I've harvested some lettuce twice. I knocked off one star because the 14-hour cycle doesn't work well. I set it to come on at 7 AM and turn off at 9 PM. But it's inched its way earlier and earlier. Now it's coming on around 5 AM and turning off around 7 PM. I know I can manually reset it and will do so, but I shouldn't have to. I've only been using it for around 6 weeks. ... show more

    • Love watching the plants grow! But not sure about the correct feeding.
I have had my system for about 3 weeks. It has been fun to watch how quickly the plants grow. I wasn't thrilled with the sponges, but they worked just fine. I have researched other liquid plant foods that you add a cap full directly to the water every so many weeks. The plant food with this system requires a 1:1:200 ratio which I have done when the water level gets low, but it seems that I need to feed the plants more often. Are there any recommendations for feeding? ... show more

After spending upwards of $12 for fresh basil, thyme, cilantro, parsley, and chives, I decided to grow my own. I researched several hydroponic systems and decided to go with Inovation. I followed the directions and planted two seeds each of basil, thyme, parsley cilantro, and chives. As you can see, the basil is huge and started growing within 3 weeks. Still waiting on the thyme and chives to make an appearance. But at least I can make fresh basil pesto and excellent salsa with the cilantro! You will not go wrong ordering this system. Follow the directions for each phase and you'll have fresh home grown herbs in no time. Remember, it does not come with seeds! Happy indoor gardening! ... show more
