I loved the size! It's perfect for not filling too fast. It's tall enough that I'm not having to kneel down to lift a lid. Omg, it opens for you!! I don't like buying batteries and this has an optional wall charger you can buy separately. The wheels make it easy to move around when I need to sweep behind it. The filters are OK, not sure how well they deodorize because I usually trash smelly food immediately to the dumpster.

It's very early to do a review so I will update as time passes, but my initial reaction is WOW! Myself and my family just love this! No more smelly, frustrating waste basket! This can is attractive, as far as trashcans go. Lol. It completely controls waste odor and it holds a lot! My Hefty, tall kitchen trash bags are full when the bag is changed. The bag is fully enclosed within the can and is easy to change..taking less than a minute to remove the full bag and replace with a new one. The lid opens as expected. We do get some unnecessary opening, as it's near the door. I may change its location. The only downside is that it does show fingerprints prominently so it does need an occasional wipe down, but we have to touch so infrequently that this is not a problem. Our house doesn't have a lot of outlets, so we use the battery powered option. It's only been a couple of weeks, so I can't yet say how long the batteries last with ordinary use. I feel this is a much more sanitary option for my family and more convenient. I'm very happy, so far, with the performance of this product. It will start to close, every now and then, while I'm still discarding something, but will pop back up right away and is only a gentle tap..no need for concern. Totally safe for use with children and pets. One of my dogs was a former trash can invader who would periodically over turn & raid the trash can. 1 swat on the snout from the lid on this one has left her puzzled & discontented! Yeah!! We love this so much, I'm really crossing my fingers that it continues to work as well as it does now! My family is spoiled already and I have gladly said farewell to the old can! UPDATE: It's been more than a year since I purchased this item and I do not regret it at all. We did have a problem with the lid tearing up after a month and it took me another month to call as the customer service support line does close at 5 M-F & there's no evening or weekend staff however, I you can file a claim online so it's important to register your product. I had not done so, but the agent was wonderful. She emailed a site link and I registered. It was a very simple process. I wasn't made to wait. The agent simply checked with Amazon and verified my purchase and immediately shipped a new lid at no cost to me. We weren't even asked to return the old one! I was really impressed. The new lid has worked well, for the most part. It is quick to close but it does stop and reopen if need be. My only complaint is that the inside of the back piece that holds the batteries gets dirty so easily and potato peels or other debri can stick there. We don't have a garbage disposal so plates getting emptied and so forth leaves a mess that very quickly becomes unsightly so that requires frequent cleaning and with the little grooves at the top, it's not the easiest thing job either. I found that the easiest way is to press the open button so it stays open and then spray the area with vinegar & water and let it sit a couple of minutes. Then I wipe with a paper towel and usually repeat. I have replaced the batteries 3 times since we bought it, but I anticipate another couple of months use before needing to be replaced again. Ours gets frequent use, I might add. I would suggest buying the adapter if you have adequate outlets. Its kind of a pain if your batteries decide to quit suddenly and you discover that your hubby robbed your battery stash for the flashlight! đ All in all we're very pleased with our purchase and plan to order a small one for the bathroom! Guests are always asking about it and I feel it helps keep things sanitary in the kitchen.

So after a couple of my Costco motion detection bins went to âtrash,â (pun intended) I did quite a bit of âresearchâ on others here on Amazon. I noticed that a bunch of people liked this iTouchless brand, plus the price range was much, much more affordable (as some ranged up into the few hundredsâand I will NOT be spending hundreds on a trash bin)!! Costco no longer sells the bins, so it was down to me having to find a new one!! So I received this trash bin after my normal 2-3 days, took it out of the box, and immediately saw this HUGE dent right in the front!! I was super disappointed, considering I had been without for a few days as it was. However, being an avid Amazon shopper, I knew I could replace it easily, and as an extra bonus, they even let me do a pickup the next day for free! So 2-3 days AFTER that, I finally got my non-dented bin!! The absolute BEST part of this bin is the extra a/c power adapter that came with it!!! I was used to changing the (6) AA batteries in my old ones at *least* every month, probably even more so than that! This bin does take 6 AA batteries as well, but I assume for a backup power failure in the house. I highly, highly, highly recommend the a/c adapter!! If your option doesnât come with it, you can buy it separately for like $15âand itâs worth EVERY penny!! I hear that pretty much all the iTouchless ones come with the a/c port in the back of the lids!! Itâs too soon to tell whether the included odor-control filter pack works or not...I donât tend to throw leftover food/etc. in my trash bins anyway, so even though itâs a nice feature, I honestly donât know if this will âworkâ or not!! However, it is a nice added feature!! It fits a standard-sized kitchen trash bag (I use 13 gallons)...and if you donât want the bag showing over the sides, you simply tuck the edges around the included top rim, then tuck inside the bin!! Itâs extremely simple once you do it the first time...definitely not rocket science!! The only hiccup that I ran into, aside from the first dented can, was at first the motion detection did not work. I waved my hand over and over again and it just wouldnât open. I finally ended up hitting the open button, which didnât open it, then hit the close button, which made it openâgo figure!! I suspected we may have an issue with this, however, it fixed itself after about 10-15 minutes!! Itâs been working just fine ever since. So I honestly donât know what that was about...but it did fix itself, and I havenât had issues with it ever again! It opens and closes somewhat quietlyâprobably the quietest it could get for what it isâbut I read on another review of another motion bin that theirs sounded like a bulldozer when it opened and closed! So Iâm definitely ok with the little noise it does make. Who knowsâthey couldâve been a tad dramatic!! đ In all, I would recommend this bin, ESPECIALLY with the a/c power adapter!! You honestly donât realize how cool that is until youâre changing batteries every 3-4 weeks at least!! If yours doesnât come with it, go find it on Amazon for like $15!! Iâm pretty sure theyâre all universal!! Good luck, and happy trashing!! đ

I wanted an auto opening trash can that would actually fit a lot of trash and this one does the trick. Itâs feels like a bottomless pit. Itâs kinda large so if you have a woman in the house you might get resistance. Ignore her and get it youâll both love it.
