Wanted our own paddle boards and couldn’t beat the price with all the extras. If you didn’t order an electric pump, do it now! Assembly is pretty easy, minus the hand pumping. Not tested on the water yet, but feel strong.

I often see paddle boarders sitting and paddling. Many of them never stand up, and some use a two-bladed kayak paddle so they don't have to flip the paddle from side to side. So it makes a lot of sense to create a product that can work well as either a paddleboard or a kayak. You have to keep in mind that when you create a hybrid product like this one, there are bound to be compromises. By that I mean that when used a a kayak the Itaostar Pet isn't the same experience as paddling in my Pelikan Mission kayak. But it more than gets the job done. The kayak seat inflates and is easily secured to the paddleboard. I felt secure at all time, and the seat didn't wobble. It's at least as comfortable as my kayak seat. The included footrest held my feet in place securely and provided plenty of leverage when paddling. You get a lot of nice extras with this combo. In addition to the pump, fins, and ankle strap that come with all paddleboards, you also a nice padded strap to assist when carrying the board, a large drybag, and a small drybag for your phone and keys, and a repair kit. All of the materials are very well built, and none of them feel cheap. The carrying bag is equally amazing, made of heavy-duty nylon. The bag holds everything comfortably, and includes backpacking straps. I actually got compliments on the graphics, which look great. So many paddleboards are boring, but this one is nice and colorful with a cool cat graphic. The product description says this board is extra wide, but it's actually the same width as my wife's Body Glove board. Maybe other boards aren't as wide. Regardless, this board feels good when standing up. My wife is the better paddle boarder between us, and she said this Itaostar Pet board felt good, but not as stable as her Body Glove board. She said you'd get a better core workout on the Pet board because you have to work slightly more to stay steady. These impressions could be because she's used to her board and it feels comfortable to her, whereas a new board might take some getting used to. But this is by no means a difficult board, and beginners will find it easy to get to their feet and stay there. There's one minor thing I should mention. I have an adapter that allows me to use a car-powered inflator. One end attaches to the paddleboard in place of the manual pump hose, and the other end has a bike-tire fitting. This adapter worked fine with my wife's and son's Body Glove boards, but the adapter didn't work with this Itaostar Pet board. My son had a new board we were trying out at the same time, and the adapter didn't work on that board either. I did a little research, and evidently board manufacturers are now using a type of valve that doesn't work with this type of apapter. Not a big deal, but if you purchase this board/kayak combo, be prepared to use only the hand pump. This board combo seems reasonably priced, especially since you get both a SUP and a kayak. This is what you'd expect to pay for only a SUP. All in all, I'm really very pleased with this SUP/kayak combo. It's a great idea, and it works nicely. I had a wonderful time paddling around on the lake using this board as both a kayak and a paddleboard. I definitely recommend it. ... show more

Our family really enjoys kayaking and we’ve been wanting an inflatable kayak for a while. My daughter had the opportunity to try a stand up paddle board with some friends and she’s been wanting one of her own since then. We were able to fulfill all those things with this one product! The board is really easy to blow up with the included hand pump (we didn’t try blowing it up any other way- not sure if another pump would even work due to the way you snap and lock the provided pump into the outlet) once you get it by the water. All of the needed additions like the kayak seat and the various rudders are included and easy to attach as needed. The seat for the kayak is also blown up with the provide pump and it is a little hard to attach but once you get it on properly it is a very comfortable seat. The paddle can be configured for a double bladed kayak paddle or the longer single bladed paddle board paddle. We all had a great time switching off with the board and our only issue is that we really want two more boards so we can all go out together! The easiest way to take care of the board when you’re done is to carry it still inflated back to the car so you can brush it off and deflate it in the parking lot. It is a bit heavy once it’s all packed away but nothing a strong teen or adult can’t easily handle on their own. Our five year old son really loved going out with us on the board - we secured him in a life vest and he laid down on his belly at the front of the board or sat on his bottom in front of my husband while he paddled. The board was able to easily accommodate my husband, our teenager and our little boy all at once without an issue. You won’t go wrong with this awesome item! ... show more
