    • A decent product with HORRENDOUS assembly instructions

Lets break this up into two sections: First of the the product itself is nice looking, sturdy, and functional. The one issue it has in this category is the filing cabinet which does not not fit either standard or legal hanging files on its hangers. In order to fit standard files, I had to drill new holes for the hangers themselves. Its a very weird oversite, but keep that in mind as you check out options. Okay so here's the big one. Some items have complicated instructions, others have limited or unclear instructions, but this product's assembly instructions are so convoluted it is more akin to some sort of rage-inducing puzzle game than furniture assembly. I have built hundreds of furniture pieces in my life and I have never once felt the need to complain about the instructions on the internet... But these instructions are so awful I can only imagine they were written as a kind of joke that none of the buyers are in on. Pieces are mislabeled throughout (from their numbering system), less than half of the physicals pieces are labeled, graphic depictions of the pieces are comically off in scale plus squares are rectangles and visa-versa, and the steps themselves are insanely difficult to complete in the order prescribed, but far easier with just a few steps rearranged. I have no clue at all why they are so bad, but it honestly made me wish I had bought another product. It really just is not worth the incredible headache that results from attempting to assemble the thing in the first place. Bottom line - Do you like trick puzzles not made to be solved? Educated, capable, experienced. The directions are solely pictorial, and if you've ever assembled Ikea, this isn't much different. But it is nowhere near the quality of Ikea, or even PrePac.T his is realistically worth about half of the purchase price, and I do feel ripped off. DO NOT count on these wheels rolling under even the bare weight of the unit. First chance I get, going to pop the wheels off and stick it on some harbor freight dollies. Here's some pro-tips: -About half of the pieces are not labeled, cause it's a tiny sticker with a small footprint being placed on a dusty parts coming out of a factory. - You'll need a smaller-than-average Phillips screwdriver. I'd say the outside diameter of the shaft of the driver is about half the diameter of a common screwdriver. This CANNOT be assembled with a common sized screwdriver. - It's a generic hardware bag that goes with multiple items - so there are lots of extras of some parts, and exactly the right count on most hardware. Separate what you need first. - Even with the lock-plate adjusted so that it is fully extended, the locking mechanism does not latch. - Most all of the smaller screws do not have a hole, only a point where the paint was chipped by an automated drill that didn't get close enough. Have an awl (pointy tool, ice pick, whatever) on hand to press those holes before trying to drive the bare-minimum hardware. I've done large beds to whole-wall bookshelf/desk units, all by myself. This is incredibly low quality. Strong recommend finding something cheaper or free and making do with it. Unless you share a toothbrush, do not try to assemble this with your partner. ... show more

I honestly don't plan to buy this or anything else from said company again. The instructions, very sorry laughable excuse for instructions is the starting point. Its a whole whopping 4 pages. Hope you know how to read hieroglyph. Nothing is clear. No written words anywhere. Squares, rectangles seem to be interchangeable in the directions. Then half the pieces were not labeled. Best of luck quizzically figuring that all out. Pieces came chipped. Not too big of a worry since I have a very active 2yr old and 7yr old that demolish things, just not for the price I paid. Had extras of some screws, yet not enough of other things. Then finished product, well it seems sturdy... but when things have noticable gaps because they don't fit correctly. We shall see how long this lasts. Took way longer than 60mins. Try saying it is an all day project. In short don't buy this and save yourself money, time, and sanity. ... show more

I read the read reviews before buying this, so many people said how it was difficult to assemble/Understand the directions but I decided to buy it anyways and must say I had no issues whatsoever. Maybe the manufacturers have updated the directions based off of customer issues but either way I don’t think anyone with common sense will have any issue putting this together. All the parts are labeled by numbers and the pictures in the directions clearly identify which pieces and hardware go together. U only need one basic screwdriver for the entire thing. I have very limited experience putting any furniture together and was able to do this by myself in an hour- hour and half. Obviously the material isn’t the most impressive quality as it is a $150 cabinet but it’s nice enough for the price. Love how it looks and that it has wheels so I can easily move it around my room!!! ... show more

Assembly says 2 people 1 hour. It took more the 2 hours 2 people. 1 was a handyman. Corner easily broke in assembly. Still ok for the money.

I must have overlooked the reviews on this by accident because I also ran into the issue of the filing cabinet not working with standard hanging folders. I will have to make my own holes to adjust the poles but seller should fix this.... Other than that it actually looks great, sturdy and has a good amount of storage areas ... show more

The instructions for this are HORRIBLE! If you can’t figure out how to put this together without instructions, basically off really crappy pictures, then just don’t buy. The second thing is that the locked drawer that comes with this came with the same 2 side pieces. So I wasn’t able to put the drawer together because it’s the same piece and won’t fit for the other side. Really disappointed. I was exited about this but wish I would have just bought something from a furniture store now. ... show more
