The paint is thin and the light colors are almost transparent. This set cost more and has less pieces then other sets but I told myself it was worth it because the pieces were bigger for my 6 year old. Bought this for Christmas as a gift. The packaging was well and they were bubble wrapped to ensure no breakage. They were cute and not too big or too small. They were just perfect for my step daughter whose 10 to paint. The only issue we had was the one bigger brush broke when she tried using it but she could still use the sponge part so it wasn't any major problem and it had other brushes also. ... show more
